Feedback, while it's hot: (didn't drive the Lambo).
Most enjoyable cars to drive in my opinion, in this order: 911, 488, Huayra, 570s. (with an emphasis on the first 3).
Now the feel of the cars:
- Lambo: seems OP at the moment. Might need more restrictor or something regarding cornering, because it seems it just dominated the test night. I haven't driven it now, but i know how predictable it usually is, and it's too fast for how predictable it is
- 911: setup feels nice. It's not an easy car to drive, but really enjoyable if you push it to the limit and nail it. However, it seems a tiny bit slow compared to the rest at the moment. Especially on the straights, you can feel it's the least powerful. And it doesn't really make up for the loss in acceleration too much while cornering.
- 488: setup feels really nice. Seems on par with most of the other cars. I have a feeling it has slightly weaker braking though (compared to Huayra, 911, Lambo, at least). Not the easiest to drive, but easier than the 911 and the 570s in my opinion.
- Huayra: setup very nice also. Can brake quite well and it accelerates well, but loses a bit of edge on some slower corners.
- 570s: setup feels as nice as it can probably be for a McLaren. It's a bit twitchy coming out of corners, and even though it is quite comparable to the cornering of the Huayra (so a bit worse than the others), i am down-prioritizing it. The power and the speed compensate quite ok for the twitchy and slower cornering, i think.
Easiest to hardest cars to drive IMO: Lambo, 488, Huayra, 570s, 911. So I won't be drving the Lambo, most probably. I have the feeling that the 488, the Huayra and the 570s are the ones that are already quite well balanced, with Lambo being too fast and 911 being a bit too slow.
This is going to be an epic series. Reminds me of the first series I raced here 2 years ago, i think, with the 458 (and 911R and MP4-12c), the Euro Supercar Challenge.
Had a race in each of the cars except the 911. My brief summary:
Ferrari was nice and well balanced.
McLaren - underwhelming with understeer and skittish under (heavy) braking,
Pagani - waiting to kill at any point!
Lambo - Much easier/more stable all round, than any of the others. I don't necessarily feel its much faster, but you can mash the accelerator corner exit for example, and it just goes...
Great fun though and looking forward to new series - should be a blast in these cars.
I'm hesitant to stick my nose into setups here, because generally I'm really mediocre at making them, but I do have a 570s setup that I made that makes the car feel completely different; at least to me. I know the setups of all the cars need to be general enough to make them drivable across the whole series but the McLaren really feels off compared to the other cars right now.
It also depends of whether the setups are part of the relative balancing of the cars to prevent one car from being too dominant.
Sven if you want to take a look at my setup and how it effects the times of the car then I'll pass it forward to you, but I don't want to tread on any toes here.
