Nu contează, domnule S4b1n. As already mentioned, I have some minor difficulties to swim that boat around on the racing line, let alone when under pressure or off the line... All good!

Hey everyone,

I am so happy that we did not race Modena yesterday. I tried it out last week and it seems to favor the Ford a lot;-). Instead Road Atlanta favors the Porsche and Toyota. A small powernap before also helped here ...I am always dead tyred on Saturday evening (for I am mostly tyred all the time, but Saturday evening is my weekly low ...ok, and Monday morning...).

So I was able to get in a flow and if nothing is blocking the porsche in the corners it is a blast. I somehow managed to keep it together in qualifying (only ran a little wide on my fastest lap after following Minder).

Race 1: Starting on pole and napping on green light . Dima got passed me with a superb start, damn was that one fast. I think Zombie catched me in the first corner. I needed like 2 laps to find my flow again and was then able to shorten the head start those 2 were having. I was fighting with Zombie alot but could not get ahead of him. In the meantime Dima made a small mistake, so the 3 of us were again together, but Dima fought hard and won this race, as well as Zombie which I was not able to overtake. But a very nice race:-).

Race 2: I actually forgot most about this one . I think started well at 6th place, lost one place at the start and was benefitting from a crash directly in front of me and was on 3rd place I guess. Sven and Minder ahead, Chip behind. A lap later it was a very fast Zombie behind. Later on one of the last laps I was able to catch up with Minder but could not pass. I just wanted to follow Minder on the long straight but overlooked Zombie. Sorry for that one and lucky that nothing serious happened. I was a little off and Zombie got me after the long straight when I totally lost my braking point. Sadly Zombie got a disconnect on the last lap, so I got 3rd again.

Race 3: I started from 6th, finally got a good start and was able to catch Offcorsa. I ran wide (not planned) on corner 1 and was lucky that S0ul did the same. Otherwise I would have hit him I guess. I lost a little pace and Minder was very near. There was very tiny touch and I hope that it was ok. I then managed to stay ahead of Minder (Urlauber, Chip and S4B1n in front). I think it was lap 2 when Chip had a bad exit on the long straight, so Urlauber and I could pass him. Minder still behind. @Minder: I hope me trying to protect my place was alright with you. I was trying to avoid the situation to have Ford/Lancia directly in front and directly behind me. Nearly no chance to keep the place then. After 3 laps I was really into it, I do not remeber the lap but it must have been 4-5. Where Urlauber slipped a little in corner one and I could overtake him. At this point I could really go on and was able to get away from Minder...finally . In the last lap I was in range of S4B1n and actually in fighting range in the last few corners. Well deserved win and a nice push for the Firefox team:-).

Bad night for me generally, despite getting a heat win in the second heat.

Substituted in a squash team, and it seems because of the conditions (pretty cold), combined with getting there, waiting an hour and a half before first match, then again an hour and a half until second match, plus really exhausting rallies because I played worse than my normal self, I completely wrecked myself.

The first heat I had some minor stutters, and Minder was a bit eager to get aside on the second corner of just the first lap. Then got tapped by Urlauber on the last corner, was able to catch it but lost a lot of time. Later that lap I nearly spun again going onto the back straight.

Heat 2 was nothing more than finding the right moment to get passed Urlauber, then clocking a few fast laps to put a lot of pressure on MinDer. In laps 6 and 7 I made a few minor fuck-ups, but never enough for MinDer to get on my rear bumper.

Heat 3 was like heat 2, again with stutters. Just a slightly better position. Tapped Offcorsa early in the race, not very severe, but since he's a team mate I didn't bother to wait Got a bit closer to the top four over the entire race, but never enough to really pressure them. Four seconds behind race leader, two seconds behind Dima and MinDer..

Next week will be better.. Likely the stutters are just Road Atlanta, and only in heavy traffic from what it seems..

Race III - A long lonely evening.

Heat 1 - After Qualify 11th spot with 1.44.0 I tried to get in a rythem so I could make a race with Geraldflysa. But in lap 2 or 3 it all went wrong. Didden't downshift well after the Start/finish straight and off we go into the grass & gravel. Back on the road as last, drove back to Nowai and after the pass I never saw a car again.

Heat 2- Starting from 12th position I decided to start quitly. Just going easy in the first lap, looking if other drivers would gie each other a "hand"shakeso I couldt gain a few places. But in the first chicane I did touch Nowai, after looking the replay, I think i'm part of the casue, so Nowai  sorry, my fault. Back on track last. I got my rythem back drove a few 1.44.xxx and at the end try to use the Porsche as a lawnmower. Due connection problems and errors from other drivers I finished 10th.   Again a lonely heat.

Heat 3- Starting 10th means cars behind you and something to defend. :-) Last driver was team-mate Zombie-79. He is the man who have to earn the points for us, so tried to give him al space to pass. But driving behind Zombie I almost hit him in the back cause I was later braking then he was. So to miss him, I drove into the grass and back on track last.   (What an evening) But I also saw at that moment what my biggest problem is. I want into the corners to fast. So trying to break earlier and also earlier back on the gas gave the first lap a new PR. 1.43.866, Still slow for most of you but hé I was happy. At the end I already forgot what the keyword was and back to lawmowing with the Porsche.

On to the next race and thanks for restarting the server for Heat 3. After I made connection with the server I only got a black screen and no movement on the RIFT. Rebooting was my only option.

Race 3 on the calendar and I felt like I got my Porsche mojo back!

Race 1 - was thrilling! Dima tore past both myself and Barry off the starting line, which took me totally by surprise and from then on I was trying as hard as possible gain some time from Barry in 3rd. I got him to about a second behind at one point but then a small mistake and he was right back on my tail. Things really heated up when Dima had a few dodgy moments and we were then a three way battle for the lead. I think I got alongside him a few times but never had the speed to really make anything of it.

Race 2 - Found myself towards the back after an early incident but was putting in some good laps to catch up. I eventually got back near the front. Then I lost connection to the server again - exactly the same as last week, in almost exactly the same point in the race as well. I have no idea what's going on.

Race 3 - Not finishing race 2 started me dead last in the final race. I think i did ok to get to the mid pack but I was dejected after my disconnection. Still a good race.

All in all, we had some great racing. Bittersweet for me as my night was scuppered by a technical fault when I had a good chance to get some well-needed points.
