Greatness!
I nearly shat myself in the first race when Ed was rejoining track and MinDer tried to get past both of us in the tight left-right combo near the end of the track. I still feel a bit shit about not returning the position Barry in (I think) heat 2. I felt I left enough space and you could know that it's high speed corner where I'm going to end in the middle of the track on exit.. But... going to need to watch the replay on that. Wasn't a severe tap anyway, but of course it's going to cost you a position right away in races this close.. Still had excellent battles with Zombie, MinDer, Ed, Barry and probably plenty of other cars Side not: I'm really enjoying the Escort sound from the Fonsecker sound pack. Sounds much more alive and less lawn mayer 
Amazing races tonight! Heat 1 was super fun, was mostly battling offcorsa and it was intense. Heat 2, i found myself in first in the first corner and was lucky enough to see people behind battling (Sven and MinDer if i recall correctly), so I could pull some distance.
Heat 3 found myself between Sven and offcorsa in 1st turn, and after misjudging the distance to Sven I had a bit of a laggy touch with offcorsa which sent us sideways into the grass. I didn't wait up thinking it wasn't my fault, but it turns out it kinda was. Apologies! Congrats to Barry and Red - seems like you both did very well. We didn't really see each other on track much, though

Great racing tonight!
Good battles in all 3 heats: that 3 wide before last turn heat 1 was epic; enjoyed wathing the battle for first place too Sven, you handle the Escort very well, it was hard to follow your pace  . Sorry again for the tap heat 2, I pushed too hard the accel and of course the car went straight. The Lancia requieres to be gentle with, even in the heat of battles I wondered why rear tyres were so noisy in turns' exit. Got the answer watching the replay: the car turns on 3 wheels! Tyres makes noise when the rubber touches the track again. I'm not used to drive FWD, but the rigid lightbody is a pleasure to race with. Now I need to learn how saves front tyres Can't wait the next race!

Nice setups Sven! In qualification, the first 9 drivers where within 1 s on a 1m51s track!

Well, not much to say about my performance. Race 1 went well from pole until right at the end when Barry got a run on me. I realised then that I had my gearing all wrong for some of the corners - taking them in 3rd when I should have dropped to 2nd. I kind a went to pot after that. Race 2 felt like I was in the wrong event, as I dropped further and further back and struggled to get into an overtake position. I feel very lucky that a few others had off tracks and I ended up in 8th - and on pole in race 3. Race 3 - went the same as race 2, lost too many places during the first lap and didn't feel competitive enough to challenge for them back.
Still had some great battles, and even though i'm scratching my head a bit as to why I was struggling so much, it was a really fun night

First race of the season, most enjoyable!!
Love these cars. They are relatively slow and not super easy to drive. I also love how balanced and imbalanced they are. The Toyota is clearly the best through the corners, but really lacks on the straights compared to the Ford and Lancia. This gives really interesting racing, forcing drivers to use their race craft to the fullest. For example, I was struggling to keep sven behind me, but when he would get alongside for the corner, I was able to keep alongside round the outside of the corner. Then on the exit to the next one, the Escort power would again get him ahead. It leads me to believe the Toyota could struggle in the future as if the faster car maintains a good line through the corner, I will have to go around in the corner, as I will not be able to get past on the straights. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining one bit! Just an interesting point on the cars. As for the racing yesterday, great work from everyone. Good clean racing, within the white lines Was happy to get third in quali, but after being put under pressure from Sven and others from behind, I spun out into turn two braking too late. My gearbox really suffered in heat 1. Changing gear while battling caused a few mis-shifts, something to work on! My gearstick is also in a new position with my chair upgrade, so takes a little getting used to... not to use that as an excuse.... shifting into first instead of third is never a good idea, I was lucky not to blow the engine!Some awesome battles in heat 2 and 3, and a close finish with Zombie at the finish line were the highlights. Bring on the next one

Bring on the next one That was a great finish ed! I think I might have got past you if the start/finish line was a bit further up the track . It was a good battle!

Overall satisfied I guess with last nights racing.
Combination of jetlag (only got home 2pm yesterday), and dodgy gear shifter, saw me have a mixed night. 1st Race I was up to 6th at one point, only to blow gearbox on last lap  2nd Race I got a bump which seemed to majorly affect handling, and I then got stuck on grass so went back to pits for a breather. 3rd Race was good fun, starting from back and getting up to 10th, with some fun battles with a few on the way

No worries here. I would not even say that it was an incident. You got me on the straight and were with 2/3 car length ahead. I wanted to fight back directly and just misjudged your line a little bit and your cars butt slightly broke out (I did not notice it during the race, just saw it during the review). But we would have touched anyways. Yeah, what should I say...I had a lot of fair and awesome fights with ...Ed and Zombie in the first heat. After 8 long laps of following and some side by side courners I finally got Zombie in the last lap. In heat 2 I had Offcorsa (or should I call him "None shall pass"? ) in front of me for quiet a while until Sven and Minder came back and got me on the straights;-).The last heat was a little bit unlucky but also a blast...at least after turn 2. I was trying to brake a little late so that those nasty Fords could not get me. Sadly it was too late so I would have crashed into the guys in front. I took the right and went straight on the grass which cost me 6 places if I remember correctly. Good thing is I then had some very nice fights with S0ul and Mr. Urlauber. Well, great job Sven. After driving the R8 last season which drives like a brick (but it does in every game, so thank you Audi) finally a car which was meant for racing:-). Also thanks a lot for the great livery. I like it alot. I hope S4B1n and Forest do to.
