Better than last week at least Nothing more than a quick job.. My first race was shit, my second epic thanks to S4b1n, the third was mixed.. Started very well, but didn't give a lot of space to some public guy, then decided to wait for him, but he probably saw that as me deliberately blocking him after two failed "let pass" attempts.. Changed to near mathematically correct FOV at the start of the week, but can't really get used to it so far. Have to say it's a lot more immersive because cars close to you seem a lot bigger and the dunes at Zandvoort for example a lot higher, with elevation being much more noticeable. On the other hand I can't see shit if a car is next to me, looking sideway is distorted and the apex is invisible. Some fine tuning still required then..

What do you mean mathematically correct FOV? I use around 66 degrees, I think that's "usual"? Also I use the dash view (without steering wheel).
Also, I found out that helicorsa is a very nice tool. I've been using it for a few weeks and I can say it really helps to get some even cleaner racing, and even though it's somewhat non-realistic, I can live with that thought. I've become a bit faster over the few times I raced with my current FOV since last Monday (think it's at 25 now, should be 20, was at 40 something), but it still feels weird and seems a lot harder to get a feel for where cars surrounding me are. I have read that most single screen users on smaller screens always stay about 5-7 degrees above their mathematically correct FOV's, just to make sure they can actually see stuff I still recommend trying it, because it actually makes you feel more immersed and totally changes the visual experience of a track. You also become actually scared of some cars

Interesting read. Though I'm in the category of <27" single monitor, so I wouldn't rely on the estimate.

I run at FOV 35. Screensize 27 inch, distance to screen ~1.5 meters. Works for me, or at least, Im used to it

Out - watching our big eastern fire :-)
Some nice footage from the event:
- Silverstone in the MX-5 ( https://youtu.be/TOv8_xwlqOQ ). The serious action with Sven starts around 5 minutes in and peaks around minutes 7-8 when doing most of the lap in parallel Replay editing skills are probably not so good, but the action was great - Donnington in the R34 ( https://youtu.be/xqTcdz4wp3M ). Most of the race is entertaining to see, I tried to focus on the battles behind me as well
