27 December 2016, 18:24
damn, the 917 is so fkn fun^^
was driving it the first time, really hard to find out how to drive but then its just amazing. and also i just learned the track. hard combination... is 1:42.909 good? i guess there are some seconds to find. but maybe we should all drive the same car, otherwise its going to be a boring race. i dont care about which car but if i have to change i should know it a bit before the race starts^^

Hello, I'll be in the 917 K.
28 December 2016, 19:27
Changed to In. I shall put my cruisin' cap on for tonight!
28 December 2016, 20:01
looking forward to tonight! however, as my setup skills are quite lacking, I really don't know how effective my changes are. will be fun nonetheless

Hope every one had a good time.
I rushed to re-build my system/rig in time for the race, managed just in time, and then blew me engine up as I pulled away from the start line!! Sham, coz I was looking forward to this race. Great car, great track, great format. Hopefully there will be another.

oh no ceolmor! Couldn't you use Back to pit and continue?
28 December 2016, 22:43
Did that, but had the controls in the pits locked for 30 minutes, which is fair enough if you've blown your engine.
1:55's galore, could've been a good battle with Whats and DeLof.
Shame I had a drive through, a collision with Dimavika and because of the frustration from that another wall hug. Pitted, but they didn't fix my clutch, hence I drove with a bright yellow/orange one for most of the race and had to slow down to 1:57-ish range to avoid further possible damage. Next time.. Good driving from the prototypes, only one case of "thefuckareyoudoing?" that luckily didn't end in tears (28 December 2016, 22:43)Ceolmor Wrote: Did that, but had the controls in the pits locked for 30 minutes, which is fair enough if you've blown your engine. MINUTES? Then they could've at least offered to replace my clutch ...and the results: Whats finished close to DeLof, I finished a second behind Dimavika.. Offcorsa had connection issues..

Here's the setup I used for the race:

fun race! I broke my engine and had to pit for 5 minutes to repair... Jonah and I had pretty similar race pace. If we were fighting for position, it would've been pretty tense!
cheers all x

Wrote: Here's the setup I used for the race: Minder, if you use Content Manager, there is a pretty clever share function for setups, well for pretty much anything you can think of in AC. It uses your Google Drive account to share your stuff on. I saw that Ptracker also had a setup share function, but I am unsure it if requires the server to run Stracker to work. I need to set my Ptracker up properly, I thought I had done it today, but it didn't show who was in front and behind me on the track, only the race positions, so I have to mess further with that. I tested your setup Minder and it feels a lot better than the almost stock setup that I had. Longer smoother gears that were a better fit for the corners, much more stable over bumps. I didn't manage to improve on my PB but was very close. I am sure I would have with less fuel in the tank. My pit stop strategy in the race was to use an even amount of fuel before and after pit, so I started out with 70 liters after some quick calculations in my head. I had about 6-8 liters left when I pitted and put 68 liters more in it to be on the safe side. Was it just me that had virtually no wear on the tires in the 917 K? One tire got down to 99%, but that was it. It could be RaceEssentials that shows the wrong number since it's not being updated properly anymore, but I got the newest version today from here: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index....4-5.41103/

It could be RaceEssentials that shows the wrong number since it's not being updated properly anymore, but I got the newest version today from here: My front tires gave up in the 3/3 of the race. but i cant say what made me slower, was it the light dmg or the tire... idk. In the 1/3 i was able to drive around my pb 1.42, after the pitstop at 1/2, i was not changing tires or repairing i was 2sec slower. I use tiretemp, there is no % to see the tirewear, u have just small bars and at the end of the race they where almost gone and orange. On the setup i did not change much, had only two short practice sessions and the only thing i changed was the braking balance. And Sven, how can you see that results window? Im curious because there is also a "save replay" button, is it actually working? Because i never get such a window and have to rename the files manually which is kind of annoying...

Rooky, go to options, general, and untick 'Display compact result screen after race'.
