Maybe's and Out's are appreciated when you're less certain or can't make it. Sign-up closes at 7:30 PM UK, which is 30 minutes before qualifying start. It's appreciated when you provide a reason if you can't make a race; this gives me more insight than a simple OUT post. Please make a new post when your status changes.

Track Draw
One of the following three tracks will be drawn, the others will carry on to next week. Track will be drawn at race time. Read more about the track draw in the rules.

Slot 1: Spa Francorchamps


Slot 2: Mugello


Slot 3: Barcelona (GP)



Race Format
Track draw: between 7:30 PM UK and 7:45 PM UK
Practice: 15 minutes (from 7:45 PM UK)
Qualification: 15 minutes
Race: 40 minutes timed (standing starts), with two pit stops by limited fuel (during pit stops you can only add the limited amount)

First Time?
1) post your team formation choice (and skin preferences) in https://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-1519.html
2) sign up every week in the weekly race thread with an In, Maybe or Out. You can join a series any time and don't have to make all the races. Only members who posted "IN" on time in the race thread are put on the servers' entry list.
3) Discord is mandatory to participate in our events, joining our voice channel is recommended (a mic is not mandatory). More on Discord and download: https://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-362.html
4) on race day, at around 7:45 PM UK, I will post a message on Discord saying the server is live with the track of the day. It's then in practice mode until qualifying starts. To join, search "cosy" in the server list, password is not necessary since it's a locked entry list. Between heats the server will be restarted, I'll again post on Discord when the server is live; from there you have two minutes to connect for each racing heat
5) please read the rules and this entire post before asking questions

Sorry for the T1, thanks for avoiding me.

I was at my mom's place for about 1 and half months and on a 20 hour journey to go back, thought I would miss the race. But the train arrived early. First thing I did was set up my wheel and race. Barely, made it. My room is full of dust, but I set my priorities straight

Was enjoying a good battle with offcorsa, (great to have you back!) Got an off track penalty at T1 and thought I had cleared it, but not completely by the time I entered pits and got auto DQ'd Silly schoolboy error...........

Looked like some good close racing throughout though.

Qualifying
I managed a respectable 1.51 and second place just slightly off RDinferno on pole.

Race
following RDinferno for the first few laps, I had my suspicion that there was fuel conservation in play as he was not pulling away as I would have expected, I passed RDinferno a few laps in and did not really extend any real lead.
In the lap that I pitted I was trying to calculate if I should/could stay out for another lap, consuming 2.46l roughly per lap (I had around 3l when I pitted) but I was making mistakes all over when working this over and the last few corners went so badly that I may as well go in!
RDinferno stayed out for 1 more lap I think. and I came back out in first.
A few laps into the second stint I could see Sven managed to pass RDinferno and soon after this I caught abit of curb or too heavy on the accelerator and put the car into a slide that I did not catch in time and slammed the barrier bad enough to do front ,side and rear damage. down into fourth as there was not much time gap in there!

I have not done any testing with damage, but after this I was 1-2 seconds off the pace so it must affect the aero somewhat.
I doubt the pit to repair damage would have offset the time enough this late in the race as the fuel stop was only 10l (too much but rather be safe and make it to the end!)
Just drove on with the damage but ended up about 14 seconds behind by the end of the race.
