Finishing the track draw from the GT4 World Series, we're taking the vintage Ford GT40 for a few races!

Sign up by posting IN. Sign-up closes at 7:30 PM UK, which is 30 minutes before qualifying. Maybe's and Out's are appreciated when you're less certain or can't make it, please specify why so we know you're not fed up with racing or whether anything else is not to your taste.

It'll be cuddlier than the cutest little koala you can find. Also without the chlamydia the koala usually comes with.

After a test run yesterday, the races will be more about keeping the car on track than battling positions.
Early on the brakes, don't hit those high kerbs as its easy to get into a spin from just catching them with the rear tyres.

My times were getting better but my fastest time was 1.32.xxx

I only put 1 psi in the right side. I think a more forgiving suspension for the kerbs and lower gear ratio would get a better time, I did not need 5th on the longest ratio.
Again will try the locked setup at the weekend, to make it less likely to ride through the fields on race day!

Setup added! Left brake power and brake bias adjustable. Much improved over the default setup (which seems more geared toward drag strips).

A few notes on the races (in general) because they are all mixed together in my thoughts now!

Started at the front on the first race and going wide at the first chicane caused me to spin out when re-joining the track. I don't know if this was kerb issue or 'dirty' tyre spin. It was most definitely heavy right foot problem either way.

there were a few bumps and taps:
first lap I was at the front of the pack coming out of the double right (longish hairpin) and following the tighter line another car on the outside possibly spun the rear up and ended up collecting Stephen, Sorry! though Stephen still managed to win that race anyway!

Not sure if my racing with Mr Chip caused an incident with him and Stephen? Mr Chip allowing some space for me meant Stephen taking out Mr chip.

This race really showed that I find it difficult to account for red arrows and racing cars around me and watching the road ahead too. This usually ends up with me getting out of line/shape for a corner. I'm not bothered that it ruins my finishing position I still want to enjoy racing around others and not ruin someone else's race.

This issue is more present around the start of races when the field is closer together and multiple cars are around.

Nope not your fault at all. I was trying to ease off and give you room and I think I just slowed a little too much for Stephen to anticipate. I know it wasn't malicious from Stephen in the slightest. The cars were a real handful at the best of times, and I think there was some good racing and certainly good fun anyway!
