The tenth of a series of off season events featuring cars we've not used in a series so far!

A bit of a cheat, as this is a re-run of a race a month ago, but the car deserves racing with a few more members, which we hopefully have again now!

Sign up by posting IN. Sign-up closes at 7:30 PM UK, which is 30 minutes before qualifying. Maybe's and Out's are appreciated when you're less certain or can't make it, please specify why so we know you're not fed up with racing or whether anything else is not to your taste. 

Please note: this race is public if less than six members join, meaning anyone can join. Because there will be a live admin, misbehaving public drivers will be kicked and added to our blacklist. Blacklisted people won't be able to join our server ever again.

12 minute qualifying
12 minute race
12 minute race
Second race top four reverse grid
Server on loop

Setups locked. Default skins will be used.

That looked like great fun, close, and clean racing. Sorry I didn't make it.

I wonder if these cars would make for a good one-make series....

Aye they were deceptively forgiving cars. They didn't snap at all as far as I could see. But the grip falloff caught me out a fair few times.

Mainly the temperature - front tyres got red hot and started understeering. 

I really enjoyed the racing, great fun! I was even competitive for a change.

The little tyre monitor didn't show them getting red hot for me. Front left would go orange, pressures increased a little out of the green, but again only on the left. Don't think it was tyre life as this was still quite far up the bar.

The result was longer braking distances and then late corner understeer. Both of which meant the racing got a bit rubby as the race progressed. It certainly looked like it was affecting people differently. I would fall off the pace each race and go backwards.

I may have been leaning on that left front a little too much at the start of the race !

Edit: As for one make series it didn't sound like Sven was too convinced of this. But I could defo see use for them on the Wednesday thing in future. On that note a new job may come soon, freeing up my evenings regularly. I might look to do something midweek again.

Regarding a one make series; I think these cars need numbers as they are by themselves not very interesting/challenging to drive if someone falls behind for whatever reason (little chance to catch up to the pack, no real fight against car and track). That's why I ran them again.

So for a mid week series I wouldn't consider it yet. For Sundays there are already things lined up.

I’m sorting my rig out, re wiring etc, in between watching the last day of the BTCC. If I get done in time and Sven hasn’t sorted anything I’ll put a server up.
