After mulling it over, I do think there is some time on the table, and a 1:04 might be possible.
With the right suspension changes, I think turn 1 can be almost flat. I'm already flat through the fast left hander of turn 9. This would save a couple of tenth down to turn 3. I never felt comfortable with the brakes in this car. To me, they felt either on or off. If I could get the feel and balance of the brakes right, I could trail brake into the slower corners. Last night I was, more or less, braking hard and then coasting into the corners.

I'll need to check how I drove but I'm pretty sure I was flat footed through turn one after braking for the entry in my attempts. Or do you mean completely no brake for the corner 1, full acceleration from the last corner all the way to turn 2/3? think I might adjust some settings and test this!

At the moment I'm only using a slight lift of the throttle entering the corner and a gentle touch of the brakes - just enough to scrub off some speed. I tried it flat a couple of times last night and the problem isn't the apex, it's going too wide on the exit.

I was lifting really early for turn 1, but getting back on the power as soon as I had started turning

So after racing tonight, I tried this alot and it was possible but only for one lap when the tyres are optimal that and I don't believe that its the quickest way round the corner. Mostly because I was scrubbing speed all the way through the corner.
the trick is to hit the inside kerb to help rotate the car slightly for the rest of the corner, that stops you going to wide but its hard to get just right lap after lap. I think and could be wrong here, its quickest to lift at turn in and then re-apply going back to full throttle when you get to apex/kerb. the back steps out slightly giving the better apex line. (not hitting it too early) After checking the first sector time on our screen shots you are making the most time difference in sector 3. If you think that a 18.5 1st sector is doable by not lifting on corner 1 please let us know!

Managed a 105.474 tonight.
I will add a screen later on and see if I can attach the setup later too! I think this is right, assuming the link actually works: setup file Or as below: cosyTT2fastest.ini (Size: 1.36 KB / Downloads: 77)

You've got until Wednesday night! Few more days won't hurt

There's more time there but I can't do it in one lap ! Setup change was slamming the front to the ground, aero at 4. I get one flyer before the front left overheats. I'm nowhere near flat through 1
Gold with Yellow's setup. 1:05.873, 8th lap, done
And closed! Updated the leaderboard, congrats Stephen!

I try this track on my own before joining the forum!
I managed a 1:05.494 after 17 laps. My setup from default: Max front toe out -3.0 front camber 2 degrees rear wing -1 click of front suspension -2 clicks of front sway bar -3 click of rear sway bar It's really cool to see other people racing at my home track!

Nice time. Any tips for driving this track? And how does the AC track compare to real life?

With this car/track combo, you need to trail brake into corners as late as possible. The Ginetta has understeer by default that helps in braking, but you need to rotate the car naturally to turn in. As for the track, it was laser scanned by the town of Calabogie. It's a pretty accurate representation accept for the lack of trees and background scenery. Here's a lap of the full track layout: https://youtu.be/ffjuaLGGMdY |
