An event to celebrate Stephen_hill for his first championship!

Winning the series in a Ferrari allows us to use a fleet of Ferrari GTO's at Monza for this race!

Sign up by posting IN. Sign-up closes at 7:30 PM UK, which is 30 minutes before qualifying. Maybe's and Out's are appreciated when you're less certain or can't make it, please specify why so we know you're not fed up with racing or whether anything else is not to your taste.

20 minute qualifying
20 minute race
20 minute race
Second race top four reverse grid

This was a great race and this was helped by the Ferrari GTO 288 being one of my favourites.
The additional races on Wednesday helped me to be a bit more competitive so in some ways not racing the MX-5 was a bonus!

Qualifying and first heat.
Managed a late 2.07 time for qualifying and knew that low 2.07 would be achievable but there was always 1 or more corners that an error happened to throw that away.

Into the first heat starting towards the back I managed a steady race that I gained
places from some mistakes by others, this saw me to a third position finish!

Second heat started and with a costly error from Sven/Steven early on saw them lose quite a bit of time behind me. Sleepwalker and Akio in front with Akio making a mistake around the 2nd lap I managed to get into 2nd behind Sleepwalker. the next few laps were quite standard lapping until.... Sven rage disconnected and reset the race (Joking of course! ;0) But I was looking forward to a potential Peppergani 1 - 2!

Proper second heat and Started behind Steven although the grid was not quite the same I'm not sure if Steven just got a really bad start or what but Steven was quite a bit slower down the straight and seemed to be hanging back. with the race going steven was soon past me. I held a steady race keeping the pack in view, with some upsets and spins seeing me move up to third. Sleepwalker was out front and NRTH in second, there was times where I thought I might catch NRTH, but could not quite get there before Steven overtook me and then soon after overtook NRTH. It did bring us closer together however the pressure in the last lap got to me and touched the green outside the curb edge before the long left hander 'straight' lost a few seconds, nothing too huge but enough for Sven to slip through and push me down another place. Oh well good fun all the same
