There will not be a practice server for this race, but you can download the setup at the bottom of this post (install: put the file in documents/assetto corsa/setups/"car_name"/"track name". The cars chosen are often the most popular/most stable cars of that respective series. Request cars in the request thread.

Race Format
Qualification: 10 minutes
Heat 1: 10 minutes timed, start in qualifying order
Heat 2: 10 minutes timed, start with reverse grid for top 4
Server on loop for second (or third) session if you want!

Out. Been renovating my kitchen the last few weeks. Hadn't really planned to but events meant after coming back from holiday I had to. Been slow going but I have a deadline, have to get stuff finished before electrician comes this weekend!

As the GTO was on the server we just ran with those. Plenty of people joining, I think I saw 15 people over the 2 hours. There was some clumsy driving but didn't see any malicious acts.

I think maybe having the changing conditions, especially fog, and random public may be a little too much though.

Definitely worth trying to do that more. Might it also be a thing to put (COSY) in front of our names so that people see it's an active community?

I think that we had some good races even with the public randoms. Really enjoyable.

I agree with Kuffy the randoms were not intentionally causing havoc as far as I saw. some misjudgement perhaps but not anything serious.
The Fog setting was something that perhaps should be removed to make it safer to drive, as the addition of fog did cause a lot more mistakes, this makes it more difficult to see the cars that have caused yellow flags in time also (or if just a tyre outside track limits without incident).

On the last race there was a member of the public that put a 2.04 time in, should have saved the replay to review that. The only way I can think to get that time (myself) is cut a chicane and take a penalty, saving more time cutting the corner than the penalty slows you!
It probably is possible just not at my skill level!

The only thing that was a slight annoyance was the skip session did not seem to work which would have sped things up a tad.

I have the replay and I intend to look at it closely as he was almost 2 seconds faster than me, and I though I was on the limit.

I had a quick look and there were quite a few big cuts, no idea if that adds up to 2 seconds.

Kuffy, Stephen, Sleepwalker and Yellowthingy now have details of the admin stuff and commands for Wednesday public racing!

Kuffy and I had some good close racing across the 6 heats that we did, Our laptimes throughout were pretty similar and just a mistake could make you lose the lead.

The server admin controls were stating disabled so used the qualifying to cool off and chat rather than skip them.

No randoms this week as the server was password protected!

Ah, seems I passworded the server instead of the admin side Brands Hatch is up for the weekend. If you want another track, Mr Chip is your guy, as I'm away for a week!

We only noticed at the end, we were chatting about why no one was joining, thinking maybe last week's Ferrari was more enticing, maybe you needed more than 2 to attract people etc.

I'm out seeing family on Sunday so doubt that I will be available tomorrow, but should be good for Wednesday racing!
