Updated the first post, removed the free tires of LMP class (copy paste from previous event probably). Test server is of course live, which wasn't yet stated in the first post.
Eleven entries, one shared, so far. Hope there'll be a few more; the GTE Porsche is quite easy to drive as it's mid engined, and Watkins Glen is an easy track to learn in these!

The 911 RSR is quite a handful and can spin easily if you go too fast, or take too much curb.

It took me about 20 minutes to get used to it. Feels like a car where the limit is a cliff. Stay away from the edge and you'll be fine. I do feel like I'll spin it atleast once tonight.

IN, 911.
...I'd love to run the LMP but no way I can figure out the MGU beforehand!

I'm quite curious where and how you're spinning then? Don't mind any criticism, but please be a bit more specific. For me this car feels almost like a magnet glued to the track.. I just did a few laps again purposefully pounding the kerbs and I can't spin it, maybe I'm driving it very differently. EDIT: maybe in certain weather conditions? Just did a few laps in darker clouds and the tire pressures then are slightly into the orange as well at times..

Well that was really good fun and very challenging too. Was comfortably leading when I touched the grass, spun, and damaged my aero and suspension a little.
Not only did the damage slow me down a little, it massively increased my tyre wear. So had change tyres for my last stint when I hadn't planned to. Very nearly caught Stewart at the end, but ran out of fuel on the pitstraight. Good racing all

Had more fun when my race basically ended, which sounds a bit weird. Couldn't find the pace with all these buttons and settings, and didn't really prepare aside from creating the setups a few weeks back.
On top of that I collided with Evil Mattress, who luckily got away much better than I did, ended with a broken engine and had to escape to pits. 300 second penalty. Thought about leaving it there, but then you GTE boys would have one less spaceship zooming about, so kept going and tried to experiment with the different MGU-K modes to at least learn something other than being an ass. I learned my tires were also pretty much gone towards the end, and I learned that I have to check whether everyone is actually on the entry list (I did actually check this afternoon, but didn't notice Stewart/Offcorsa missing). Never got below 1:31, and only was lapped once on track when the Pink Pig got to me when my fuel ran out on the final lap. Finished on Tesla power, now off to Twitter to rave about how electric cars are better than combustion engines and decide whether Donald Trump gets his account back or not. Thanks GTE dudes for being overall very decisive and clear about giving space and more importantly when to just hold your lines. Next time I'll be with the GT's.

Was good fun that.
Seemed easy to over drive and cook your tires so concentrated on braking early and not hacking at the wheel. Had a fun early scrap with chip. Then got lucky at the end as I jumped Stephen in the final pitstop as I didn’t have to change tires, usual tortoise and hare scenario. . Messed up sector 3 so Stephen could have had it on the last corner of the last lap. Fun it ended so close after an hour.

I enjoyed that one. The 919 was very forgiving for an hours lapping. Glad I only had to think about one pitstop. The Kers wasn't too bad to keep an eye on but I didn't have the pace to keep up really.
A good exercise in concentration. Was happy to finish on the lead lap. Had a way better time passing 911s than I thought, so thanks to them for the space. Would defo do this again !

Yep that was thoroughly enjoyable.
I cocked up my first 2 pit stops, had strategy set to change tyres so they took ages. Scrabbling around in VR to work out how to change it was tricky so it was only by the 3rd pitstop I managed to sort it out. This did mean I kept dropping down the order, but thankfully not too far. Had a brilliant fight with Offcorsa. Eventually managed to sneak past him just as Sven was flying up behind us. Then later yellow and I resumed our intense rivalry. Some great fighting. I took advantage of Yellow going wide giving space to a LMP. But then the next corner he had the inside. Some very nice side by side racing later I completed the pass and started to pull a gap. Unfortunately a short time later on the final lap I lost the backend whilst trying to check out how long was left on the timer. Car slid back across the track to end up perpendicular across the traffic. I could see them coming but couldn't do anything. Yellow hit, I think someone else was there too? I'm very sorry. Car was trashed but only a couple of corners to the finish. I tried giving yellow the spot but he went into the pits, I went across the line. However it was a great night of racing!

I was nervous of the dual class race, especially with the speed that the LMP can close in.
On the flip side they could pass quickly and usually with ease. On the first stint and first blue flags I made quite a few mistakes and the most notable was on the first blue flag overtakes, I had run some wide lines on a few corners in practice but must have got the downhill left all wrong because the back attempted to overtake the front and lost it with minimal damage from the barriers, that let at least 3 other 911's through. After that the LMPs generally came through in solitary fashion which made it somewhat easier, how much room to give without losing time / position to others in the class was something that was interesting, as I'm sure the reverse was true too! After settling into a rhythm all was OK until I got to the third stop accidentally change tyres a second time when I meant to just add fuel. Without this error I may not have had the accident with my Nemisis, Evil Mattress. After the accident I knew that I had enough fuel for 1 lap only - this was a gamble to whether 1. the damage would cause more fuel use/spins and make it to the end so pitted for a few litres just to be sure and then limped home.

Whats a race without me "spun"ning like a mad man? Got the pit strategy wrong also, forgot to leave 1 without the tyre change, so everytime i went to pits would take forever.... even though, had a blast... car felt super solid and the small fights that i was able to see were just amazing! Nice job!!! hope for more!
