Out. Well I need to stand this one out. Got to leave pretty early tomorrow morning to visit a client for work, 2 hours drive to arrive at 9 am and staying 2 nights over there. Still need to prepare some stuff.

I'm getting lucky often this series with positions gifted to me, as last week Stephen took out Dima on Red Bull ring to leave me with my team mate Stewart and/or S4b1n (who loves race car, right? ) after iivan and Daniel both made errors.
This week I missed my braking when trying to instruct Alebanjou to connect to the server and got a penalty. In the second heat though, still assisted again by Stephen (you'd almost think he's on my payroll by now) when in heat 2, he took out Dima, allowing me to zoom into the lead. Heat 3 was again putting the pressure on Chip as in the mid/later laps of heat 1, then onto Dima, and this time I finally managed to overtake the mighty Mazda while it was pointing the right way Great pace by Dima though; as I clocked a 2:04.7, I saw he was actually gaining on me.. Tried to keep it smooth and get the smoothest possible exits onto the straights to prevent what I've been doing all the time the previous series

It’s proving to be a fun series.
Had a good heat 1 but took too much concentration to keep ahead of Dima so by h2 I was spent and made a daft mistake and binned it. H3 was a fun battle with Stephen, by the end I have no idea where my normal braking and turning points are as did so much defending of the inside.

Apart from my mistake during Heat 2 (I was too focused on where Sven was and missed my braking point), this was a really enjoyable weekend.
Had great battles with Sven, Dima, Stewart, and Chip. You were all really competetive and it was good fun. I need to do something about making mistakes this season. It's cost me and Dima valuable points in the drivers championship. Sven has a healthy lead now.

I knew that this was going to be a struggle for me as I could not drive the Mazda to its full potential round this track.
Having said that, those in front had a few unfortunate moments which allowed me to finish further up the field than expected, although I did attempt to contest positions I knew that I did not have the pace to keep people there. I feel bad for Old Earl as I could see he was trying to jostle for position (heat 3 I think) but spun out behind me. (I am sure he would have got past me too otherwise) Even after all those laps I improve by roughly 1 second which was still 3 seconds off the pace. Apologies for holding everyone up behind me! I'm just happy to have stayed on the track without spinning out.
Race 3 in this series. The circuit Barcelona is very nice to go (IRL), but it isn't my circuit in AC. We did this circuit in more than one series and most of the time my results arn't very good.
This weekend it also doesn't bring me what I was hoping for. I'm having problems with my tyres at the end of each heat I was sliding so much that traction out of the corners and also under braking where a big mess. Heat 1 - 2 spins?? End result somewhere in the back. Heat 2- I believe it was in this heat I had a nice fight with Yellowthingy, I believe 2 full laps trying to get each other corner after corner. But at the end I did spin and again ended somewhere in the back. Heat 3- I'm starting to learn to slide without spinning. Slowely getting up on the ladder because other make bigger mistakes. Did some batteling with Evil Mattress, got away, saw ThatDaniel and when I was close to him the tyres where over and out. Falling back to Evil Mattress and had a hell of a fight for 2 or 3 laps. From my point of view the race may not be a lap longer cause I wouldn't hold my position. But fun it was. But the laptimegap with the front is way to big. I did really doing my best but stayed in the 2.06.xxx. And +2 seconds a lap is just to much. Up for the next circuit with new chances.

I thoroughly enjoyed our battles, it was the most racing fun I've had since returning to the track. A massive thank you! I had you earlier on up the hill onto the back straight... But then immediately gave you the inside line in to the hairpin and had to yield... I was gutted. Then the fight continued; the final lap or two in particular were epic and so close! One more lap mate!

The longer the track (while still holding the same ratio of corners and straights), the bigger the gap. That's why Nordschleife differences seem like you're not even close, but it's an long lap, so every little corner can lose you 0.2 seconds. You do the math..
