The battles for Pro-am and Am were already decided before the race, but again a big congratulations to Mr Chip on his first Pro-am title (a true leading performance for your team! Another massive congrats to Yellowthingy for his first Am title (to finish first, you first have to finish!)! ..and we have a bit of an unlikely team champion, as the only team without a pro rated driver won the team championship! Congrats to Mr Chip, NRTH, Evil Mattress (debut series on AC) and Yellowthingy for winning the team title! ..and the overall title! After a long fight, where Sven was leading from the start but always in fear of being outpaced, it was exciting until the final race day, as big points would've brought Stephen_hill the win, but beating Stephen in every race heat was enough to bring Sven his first overall Sunday Series championship since 2019 (Elite Crown, Ferrari LaFerrari)! A hard fought, but (in my own words ) well deserved trophy. The fact that I take a title in an Audi (don't get me started on them), in the final race on Donington (a track which has been ehmm.. avoided) makes it even more memorable for me. There were definitely moments, like crashing into the wall at Grobnik, blowing up my engine on a 150 chance in the final downshift/corner of Road Atlanta, being seduced into a safari by Stephen on Laguna and making crucial passes on both Zandvoort and today's Donington, let's say our tire manufacturer deserves careful evaluation, but there's nonetheless potential. A big thanks as well to Kuffy for the skin and our team mates for sometimes turning up But of course, a bit cliché but very much the truth, the series was only a success because all of you turned up. Not always in the numbers a series like this in my opinion deserves, but in the summer months you can't expect full grids every week. The much refined testing method for this series will again be used for next series, so I expect nothing less than another stellar battle between two to four different cars in the future! Enjoy the off season races that are about to come, and enjoy the final weeks of the summer! Thanks again, and hope to race you soon!

I'd like to echo this and thank every one for making the series what it was.

Probably my favourite series so far. Had some great racing with a number of people throughout the series. Particularly remember some very good battles with Offcorsa, Kuffy, NRTH, Gcosens93 on a regular basis, and probably more. I did manage to keep the "top 3" honest in a few races, and had much more consistency (and occasionally pace ), this series which was pleasing.
Big thank you to all team-mates from Rusty Snail Racing - First time team win for me Also a very deserved thank you to Sven, an incredibly good job on the cars, and I think it was obvious how close, but very different the 3 cars were, and as a result provided really good close racing. Trying to not be patronising here; but I am sure most people do not realise, how much time and effort goes into not only choosing cars, but then making them work together fairly, really is a difficult task....... Already looking forward to see what next season brings, but also some different racing in the off season

A big congratulations to the various winners!
A massive well done to my teammates! I'm slightly embarrassed I couldn't contribute more... Sorry guys. But what a result! Hopefully you'll have me again, and now I've finished decorating it and got my office all set up, I can actually attend a bit more regularly. Hugely appreciate the effort that goes into balancing then running a series like this. Great job as always Mr Sven. |
