I popped my enduro cherry with the 3hr race celebrating the GT Root series back in November, so if you're like me and you've not got much experience with longer races requiring pitstops and re-fuelling, this might be of use to you.
The main posts mentions ACRLfuel as a recommend app, and while there's not many options, it might not be immediately apparent as to the way in which this can help you during the race. For me, I just want to focus on setting a nice consistent pace for longer races like this, rather than worrying about my fuel usage per lap, figuring out how many laps I'll get out of what is left in the tank, how much I need to add for the next stint, blah blah blah. So I've set up ACRLfuel to give me a lap countdown (based on my max fuel usage i.e. worst case scenario) for when I'm going to run out of fuel. So I know that when this number gets below 2 laps, I need to come in for more fuel and I'm not in any danger of running out of fuel on track. To do this, you simply need to click the 'Range' text to cycle through until it shows as "Range calc: max (l/lap, last)" along the top (see below - might need to open image in new window as it looks blurry here). Next to the range section, there's another option that says 'L add', which tells you how much fuel you need to add to get to the end of the race. Depending on what the fuelling limit is set to on Sunday, you might not be able to add it all in one go, but if you're getting to the end of the race and find yourself needing to pit with just a few laps left, this figure will give you a good idea of how much fuel to add to get to the end. Hope that helps, and see you on Sunday!

IN, GT full race please!
Hadn't seen the activity since Monsters ended but this sounds awesome!! If it's ok I'd go for the number 17 Arrows Racing Billy Fung livery from this skin pack https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads...018.24504/

looks like i'm in.
car sold before i could get to it. (exceptional deals usually do.) driving the Porch swing. ironman style. all the lmp drivers be patient with me. ill do my best not to get in the way but more importantly be predictable. so whats more predictable than to be on the racing line. I'm afraid you'll have to go off line to get around me. should't be a problem though, those cars are F.A.S.T !

My aim this race is no contact with the porsches and wait in tight and slow corners until I can get by safely since with a push of a button I can make up that lost time easily

If it's your first time in either a race with pit stops and/or a multi class race, make sure to read this (from the first post):
Blue Flags: For GT drivers: please use one line (inside or outside) and do not switch lines with a LMP car closing in, as this can easily create dangerous situations; if you run wide, stay wide, if you want the inside, claim it as early as possible without a chance of the LMP car getting there before you; blue flag basically means a faster car is incoming, so you should give way and not block the overtaking car; no need to move over on the straight, let the LMP car do the overtaking For LMP drivers: a safe overtake is still (somewhat) your responsibility; if you are lapping a blue flagged car on a part of the track where it's difficult to overtake, hold back; make sure a blue flagged car can spot your early in their rear view mirrors on straights, and take into account the difference in braking and acceleration performance Pit Stops: - you have to stop exactly in the red square which pops up as you enter the pit lane - you can set up pit strategies in the setup menu, all the way to the right on the tabs. - a car will never get more fuel than the fixed setup has at the start - using different tyres is allowed for the LMP class (in case of more pit stops than necessary) Also MGU-K tips for LMP drivers, but I think everyone who signed up for LMP knows already..

What a race :O
Had a good start and pressed the KERS button as hard as I could to get past Milvus down the first straight. Then had a few laps in front, but Milvus eventually got me out of the last corner when I had depleted my energy. Kept the pace up for some laps until there was a small incident and he spun out - then led until the first stop. Second stint was uneventful, except for the only real incident I had in the race - unfortunately taking out Rosco on the straight. Sorry again - should have been more patient! After the second pitstop I was 10 liters of fuel short according to ACRLFuel, so drove the last stint like a Prius, and managed to reduce my fuel consumption from 2.4l average to around 2.15-2.25l per lap. In the end I had saved enough to have enough fuel for a victory lap Great driving from all on the track - in the two hours I only had 2 or 3 scary moments due to small misunderstandings.
Great driving by everyone.
Unfortunatly my race was very messy from my point of view. Considering what happened at the start of test race in Vallelunga I didn't want to go side by side into turn 1 again so I delayed my energy deployment at the start and let sleepwalker through so we can have a clean lap 1. After I got the lead back for a while I started to struggle to keep Sleepwalker behind as I was losing pace on worn tires and started thinking about Tactics. The plan was to undercut sleepwalker by pitting first and lap faster on new fresh tires. And thats when all the planing during the race went out the window as my pc started stuttering . Trying to set fast laptimes my game would stutter at critical points during braking and overtakes on the porsches which lead to some awkward situations and finaly a spin into the wall. Great now with a damaged front splitter I'm losing lap time even more, so I drove arround until earliest possible pitwindow to fix the damage. At that point I fell behind Sven aswell. The rest of the race was a combimation of pushing for lap time, then spinning out and tangling with the porsches because of stutters. Oh well at least I finished the race this time and overall I had alot of fun

My main problem was the nitrous. Manual deployment seems a fair bit quicker, was on high aggressive, but apparently that wasn't enough, as I couldn't get near a 1:22, and was only able to keep up at best with a 30 second gap..
Despite that, enjoyed lapping the GT's, only had one light contact with James Allen, and another moment with him where I used a bit much space into the corner. ..and went into the wall once because of zoning out. Just when the lap before, I was a bit too happy about not doing any zebra-and-lion-spotting so far. Hoping for Sleepwalker and Milvus to screw up, but not too much of that happened to get them in view near the end. I found it's possible to not allow the electrical stuff, so saved that info for a future race |
