Proposed by Dane Sabo, a Sunday where we take to Touge Racing!
Touge Racing is done on a mountain pass road (point to point) where drivers compete in pairs. Contrary to normal racing, overtaking is not allowed and contact (at least between cars) results in disqualification. I'm painfully aware that the format below is not perfect and also not entirely accurate; sadly there are limitations to running this in both time available and preparation required. I'm confident this is a fun setup for a one off!
Sign up by posting IN. Sign-up closes at 7:30 PM UK, which is 30 minutes before qualifying start.
Maybe's and Out's are appreciated when you're less certain or can't make it, please specify why so we know you're not fed up with racing or whether anything else is not to your taste.
Competition Format:
30 seconds between driver pairings
4 seconds between drivers from a pairing on start
(make sure you, as a pair are lined up side by side close to the starting point)
Please do not make false starts
No contact allowed
To win a round. the lead driver must extend the gap to 5 seconds or the chase driver needs to close the gap to 3 seconds by the end of the lap. A full second change in time is required to win or lose a battle.
5 points for a win, 2 points for a draw
If a car from a different pairing than your own is within a car length behind you, let it pass immediately
Rounds will likely be around 15 minutes in length, of course depending on lap times
Car:
Toyota AE86 Tuned (open setup)
(I've considered multiple cars through the rounds, but that would screw up lap time scorings and might require more setups, so I'm keeping this one simple)

Track:

Qualifying:
Uphill
30 seconds between starts; order to be announced (faster drivers will generally start earlier)
Round One:
Downhill
Fastest qualifier leads first pairing, second fastest follows in first pairing, and so on. Schedule will be posted on Discord with your starting time, please use the "laps" app (default in AC, sixth button from top) to make sure you start at the correct moment.
Round Two:
Uphill
Driver with the most points and the fastest time from either leading or qualifying ends up in first pairing, the driver with the most points (sorted by fastest time from either leading or qualifying) who has either followed or led the previous round depending on the first driver is added to this pairing (so you will not lead two rounds in a row)*
Round Three:
Downhill
Driver with the most points and the fastest time from either leading or qualifying ends up in first pairing, the driver with the second most points (or second sorted by fastest time from either leading or qualifying) is added to this pairing (so this round you could lead after leading round two, or follow twice)*
Round Four:
Uphill
Same as round two
Final:
Downhill
Between the two drivers who scored the most points, if more than two, the two with the fastest lap made as a leading car. Everyone else can watch!
