A test session that closely emulates the full three hour race (500% tire and fuel rate, a fifth of the race time) planned the 29th this month, mainly focused at checking the balance between cars, trying out pit stops and driver swaps.
Sign up by posting IN, for qualifying and race there will be a schedule posted on Discord with the cars and stints you're supposed to be in, at race time.
Maybe's and Out's are appreciated when you're less certain or can't make it, please specify why so we know you're not fed up with racing or whether anything else is not to your taste.
Race Format:
20 minute practice (or until we're done with it)
10 minute qualifying / tire blankets on
36 minute race / tire blankets on
Tire wear: 500%
Fuel rate: 500% recommended app ACRLfuel: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads...uel.15424/
Damage: 100% be aware that rejoining the server removes all damage
Track:
Zandvoort
Cars:
Porsche 911 RSR 2017
Chevrolet Corvette C7R
Mercedes SLS AMG GT3
All cars will use a fixed setup. Above cars have been balanced through ballast, restrictors and possibly fuel restrictions so their pitstops are faster/slower to balance the field.
Driver Swaps Process and Tips
1) enter the pit lane
2) make sure you've crossed the start/finish line to count your last lap
3) you have to come to a complete stop, then leave the server
4) only once you've quit the server, the other driver can take the car
5) joining driver will get a fresh, undamaged car, including fuel and tires
(make sure there's at least 20 seconds between exiting driver and pressing drive button on the server for the new driver)
- server automatically keeps the number of laps the car has traveled, no matter who was driving it
- make sure you wait until your "race" car is taken before you take a "watch" car slot. otherwise it'll put you in the "race" car!
- there is a bug with the blue flag, showing after a driver swap, which doesn't necessarily mean the car behind you is lapping you; whenever someone is closing in on you after the first stint and you're pretty sure you're not battling them for current position, please let them pass at a safe and easy place
- there will be a list detailing in which order the cars are on the entry list; this only matters if you've signed up for multiple different cars (example Porsche and Mercedes).
