Grid just closed at 5:00 PM UK as mentioned in the first post. Unconfirmed or incomplete entries sadly won't be entered. Driver(pairing)s who have not chosen a skin will have one from RaceDepartment, I'll include them in the skin pack.

Have fun guys!
I'm mad and sad. I'm smad.
Turns out that vodafone customers in my region have all lost Internet connection. So I dnf'ed at the halfway point of the race. Was "stuck" behind 2-3 Corvettes in the beginning and then spun and lost 8 seconds on track which I could reel back in with sub 1:39 laptimes back to the end of the leading pack. I was slowly catching Sven and was confident I could close the 6 second gap to him completely after the upcoming pitstop when my Internet stopped. I was having a mega race until then. Such a shame about the outcome. I hope you guys had alot of fun at least. Edit: At this rate I don't think I will have internet until tommorow. Man I was having so much fun with everyone arround me so yeah avoid vodafone in Germany guys. I will have to look for another ISP

Congrats to Sven, solid racing!
Things started pretty poorly for me when technical issues meant I needed to switch with Grant and do the first stint, not the second as planned. By the time I switched everything over to the VR headset instead of my monitor, and joined the server, the race had been going for over 20 seconds and I had to start from the pits. I pushed like crazy for the first hour or so to try and make up ground, and towards the end of my first stint, I was able to go one lap longer than Stewart, which meant that after pitting, I came out in front of him. Not sure how it happened, but I emerged from my first stop in 7th, and was only 8 seconds behind Offcorsa in 6th. I only had another 30 minutes ahead of me so got my head down, and although I made a couple of mistakes, managed to pass Offcorsa and get up to 6th before handing the reigns over to Grant. 1hr 30 minutes was tough going, but I felt like I could have gone for longer (first time I've ever said that...) and will probably try doing the next endurance race on my own. I'm sure I'll lament that decision when it comes to it but right now I'm full of beer, chocolate and confidence... |
