Slightly disappointed in yesterdays race, because I could've gotten more out of it. Underestimated qualifying, again didn't touch the wheel for a week and didn't set up my pedals properly. I felt fast, but there was definitely more in it.
Heat 1 I was pressed early on in what I believe is still very risky at Grobnik, where the first few corners can be a complete nightmare if people try to overtake from the start. During the heat I managed to overtake a few cars on track and a few who went off to finish fifth. Not spectacular, but on pace with the leaders..
Heat 2 I should have won, considering I had the pace and enough of an advantage on the other favorites. Some slight taps by S4b1n and Offcorsa (no worries both) also didn't help, but I couldn't risk a few overtakes on Offcorsa since I can barely see anything on a single monitor now with correct FOV. Ed then took me on the best part possible, as racing side by side severely affects the Mustang, and I just couldn't get close enough for a slipstream power pass anymore..
Heat 3's start was again one of those moments where I thought "why?". S4b1n had a weak start, but instead of staying behind each other, someone took my inside and I was already two wide. Nowhere to go, so pretty lucky that I only lost two positions and some bodywork damage. Recovered positions throughout the race, but in the end went wrong into the first corner when chasing down MinDer, and lost a few spots again. Very close finish with Offcorsa (less than a tenth), should have shifter earlier
Really difficult track for the Mustang, but again, there was definitely more in it..!
Really hope my second hand monitor makes it this week
