Apologies for the boost pressure confusion. Figured I should fully disclose what happened there for the sake of being transparent. On lap 5 or 6 of race 1 I realized it was set to 80% and thought I might have nudged the knob on my wheel that controls it. I used 100% for about 1.5 laps until I realized that it was probably set intentionally for balance. I was already about 5 seconds ahead at that point so I don't think it made a difference to the result, but my fastest lap in race 1 is probably BS.
I misunderstood what Sven was saying about it in between race 1 and 2, thinking that it was set to 80% to avoid damage, and using 100% was basically a risky strategy. I toggled back and forth throughout race 2, using 100% for about half the race or more. I understand if I need to be disqualified from that race, cause I definitely gained an advantage there.
Race 3 I didn't touch it, except on the grid to make sure it was set right.
@lRyder2k6: Yep, I was probably a bit unclear on that. Don't worry about it..
Good races for me, made only minor mistakes, which were sometimes still costly enough to lose one or two positions. Satisfied with the fact that I only spun it once so far, even though very close at other times.
Qualifying went well, but I thought there was still a few more tenths to be found, and was proved right in the race. But everyone else found some more time as well, so w/e
Race 1:
Good start. Minder had a shocker, and I got past him before t1, but he's too fast! He got behind me fairly quickly, and yet again, I can't keep mistakes out of my driving when being chased! I really need to work on that. As soon as I get any serious pressure I crumble. I went deep into turn 3 and pushed Minder out wide, letting Sven past both of us. Let minder past, and followed home to finish 4th.
Race 2:
This start was even better, got into 3rd after turn 1. Second lap, got really close to Dima, he got a bit sideways coming out of turn 6 and I got to the inside for turn 7. Unfortunately, Dima was not aware I was there until slightly too late, so really pushed me close to the inside, which would have been fine, had I not also got a bit sideways as well. The rear corner of my Lambo hit the rear corner of the F40, unsettling him and he had to slow down.
That was a tough one to decide the blame, pretty marginal, but we decided to call it something like 60/40 my fault.
This heat though, so hectic, so fun! Apologies to Minder, for that turn one bump. I was on the inside for turn one and Minder turned right into me. Normally that turn in point would have been fine, but he did not know there was no way I was turning in at that point due to Lryder having braked too late. I saw him coming up very quickly on the inside so had to let him through to avoid getting taken out.
Minder still managed to catch up yet again after that, and he was battling with Sven. They both ran wide into turn one and I got past both of them. 2 laps to go, I really didn't want to do the same again and make mistake under pressure, but I still couldn't keep it clean! Somehow manged to hold him off though
Race 3:
Started well again. Made a small mistake into turn 3 so had Minder on the outside in turn 4, then spun on my own, sending me to the back.
great racing! Minder, congrats on the championship win, least surprising result, impressive as always.
well, my game kept freezing up on me, just for like 1/2 sec. this was not too bad if I was on a straight but was really bothersome entering a brake point or through a chicane. ended last, started last. second race it froze altogether and sent me into a wall, quit after that. poor points for the team but not much I could do.
I think it may have been too hot in the house for the computer. we've been having a heatwave and my AC is on the fritz.
Was some great fun yesterday. Lots of close racing and intense moments. A good finish for me I think, in what was my last attendance for this series, as I can't make next week.
Hope you guys have fun in the last race. Grid seems much closer since the F40 setup has been corrected, from my side i can say that races are much more interesting.
