Cool racing.I joined a bit late, but it was fun.
I can give some small comments about the cars, I heard they were tweaked a bit: - balance between F40 and GTO seems better now. F40 slightly cornering better and more stable/predictable. GTO twitchier to drive, but if you manage to do it on the limit it can keep up quite ok with F40, since it gains a little bit on straights. I think these 2 are well balanced so far. - after RUF vs Lambo on Laguna Seca with Ed, i think these 2 are also quite well matched and fun to drive. I was in the RUF tonight, and it feels nice. I am considering choosing it. I'm no expert on Laguna Seca nor with the RUF yet, and I was keeping up somehow with Ed. - I think i saw someone saying GTO is a bit OP.. it might still be a bit, but i think it depends on the track, also. Chasing an F40 in the corners from a GTO definitely doesn't feel like it is. Then on straights you get a bit closer if the straight is long enough to hit more than 210-220 kph. - not sure how GTO & F40 vs RUF & Lambo fare right now after the small adjustments, as i didn't really get the chance to go head to head in this setup. Was chasing in GTO a RUF at some point last time if i'm not mistaken, and it felt that i was not gaining on him unless he was making some error. Was chasing in GTO Sven's F40 on the track that was before Road Atlanta if i remember the name, and again, was not gaining on him unless he was spinning or missing braking points Right now I cannot say I have any car preferences, though. All of them are awesome! I give -1 point to the GTO for being a bit twitchy (oversteering) under braking, especially into tightening corners. But I have a feeling the F40 behaves similarly, seeing Sven spin a couple times The Lambo seems very predictable IMO, it allows more room to save a late brake point or some powerslide, while the RUF obviously is tolerant to understeer..

I havn't tried the RUF tonight but if the setup of thursday was the same tonight, the YB has good corners' entry and safe braking.
I feel the long turns and exits are more hard to keep speed and/or line: the car understeer with few gas on pedal and oversteer with too much. It cost a little time and it's catchable but I felt tyres lose grip after 4-5 laps. Please ignore this if the setup has been adjusted. The Countach has very efficient braking but doesn't like sudden changes of direction. Because of its weight I think, the car needs to be calm behind the wheel and keep a smooth line to be fast. It understeers in a good way but oversteering is hardly catchable. Very challenging and interesting. GTO is almost easy to drive fast and loves bumpy and rolling tracks. It has the best gearbox but can lose speed if not in straight line due to softer suspensions and longer travels. I missed some apex because brakes needs to be kept longer and released carefully otherwise the setup provides a safe and fast car. F40 is sharp and less forgiving but joyful to drive thru corners. Very efficient and trusty setup, I feel it fits well for curvy flat tracks. I really enjoyed tonight, all the cars are really nice to drive fast, making exciting and challenging races. But now I'm not sure what to pick up for the serie. All feel very close to each other, some looks faster than others on certain tracks but consistancy could make the difference.

I drove the Countach, GTO and the Yellowbird.
I have serious trouble braking in the countach. I always lock the wheels and shift too early, entering almost every corner in a serious drift. Also, it's so slow on the straights. I made a vow, not to pick the car with the slowest straight line speed this season, so that's a no for me. Although it look so banging! The GTO is fast. Twitchy, but fast. It stressed me out greatly though, because I was not capable to control the throttle enough. I would like to give it another shot, before the series starts. Will there be a practice server, before I need to decide? The Yellowbird is amazing. I don't know, how Barry could describe it as a brick. It corners like mad and also roars along straights like all hell. The only problem is the power delivery, which is all but linear. During that one race, i got used to it and started to love the car. This would definitely be my choice for the coming season, from what I have tried so far.

Last night was first time in the cars for me.
Very brief analysis as I only had a race in each. GTO - Lovely to drive controllable and Nice sound - clear favourite so far. F40 - Close second, love the car, but just not quite there. Countach - surprisingly nimble, but does seem a bit slow on straightline speed. Ruf - Nice until about 87% but then wants to kill me; maybe it was Road Atlanta, maybe it was my lack of ability, but defiantly ruled out for now.

Damn this series will be hot! It is even a pleasure to watch the cars from behind, especially the red Ferraris.
This is what I did in the first race with the RUF. If you would ask me then the Yellowbird is about 3-5 seconds behind the other 3 cars . But it seems like I am the only one here. My experience was with the RUF was this : Hitting a corner was very hard because he tended to understeer a lot and the second I was thinking about touching the throttle he was oversteering like hell. I really tried to be gently here, but he acted like a real bitchy princess. The second race was with the Lamborhini. Overall a very good car and easy to controll, maybe a little bit of oversteer here but otherwise a very smooth ride. Maybe a little off in regards to pace with the Ferraris. Had some nice fights with S0ul here who was in the RUF and somehow seemed to be managing it very well and putting me under a lot of pressure. The third race was with the GTO. I can underline S0uls statement about the twichiness, especially during acceleration out of a curve. But it is not that bad and I felt nearly almost the whole race in controll of the car. If I remeber correctly this is the fastest on the straights. I had some nice fights with L2Ryder in the F40 but he got the better of me after a couple of laps. So I would rate the F40/GTO on nearly the same level. The last one was with the F40. Maybe the easiest to drive of them all for me but also a little twitchy. What bugs me a little bit is the sound. It sounds like a hell of a beast but it accelerates so slow in Comparison . I would order the cars from fatest to slowest like this GTO, F40, Lambo, RUF and I am interested in GTO and Lambo but want to give the RUF another try:-). Ok, I had some free time on me. New sequence F40, GTO, RUF,LAmbo. I think the Lambo really needs an Upgrade and the RUF can be insanely fast if you know how to drive it (I am still clueless...There was a guy today who nailed a 1:37 something on Laguna Seca with the RUF, while the rest was doing there 40 and 39s )

Almost certain I'll be choosing the F40 but I just need to figure out how to get off the start quicker. I'm currently using auto clutch ( I know, please don't hit me) and no matter what I do it just bogs down at the start.

Let Auto Clutch take over once you're away.
I drove the Ruf and the Lambo.
Lambo was generally quite easy to drive and stable, although it was still possible to get big oversteer moments when the weight was off the rear. Coming out of low speed corners, it felt necessary to ease on the throttle and let the rear end settle, before really punching it. Doesn't let go that easily, but when it does, it seems like you end up in big slip angles before being to gather it back up. Don't quote me on this though, both Austria and Riverside were new tracks to me, so I may not have the best read on the cars yet. In the Ruf I felt like I was on edge far more of the time, and was generally very busy in the cockpit. Extremely fun to drive. Corners well with the right touch, and requires good throttle control despite the rear engine layout. Good straight line speed. I drove this car the most and never felt like I was at a disadvantage on the straights. Currently I'm leaning towards the Ruf, but haven't yet tried the Ferraris, which I'll do next week. Overall, I'm really excited for this series. Extremely fun (and generally tricky) car selection, and interesting period in automotive history!

Somehow I barely couldn't keep any car on the track yesterday, still tired from 2 gigs the days before. If I can't drive I can as well sketch a design, here it goes.

I enjoyed the F40 and GTO the most. The Countach did not feel right, and the RUF was just too loose at the back for my wheel that I have. Was having a battle to keep it on the track. But who knows, maybe I will try the RUF, but that might mean that I have to race as privateer to avoid team disappointment.
But for the moment I like the two Ferrari's the most. And my ping was an unfortunate problem. Hope it is better when series starts, otherwise I might be out completely.

I only managed to try the Lambo before I had to bail cuz of my dog. It felt really nice to my style of driving. Setup seemed good, the car felt stable and driveble as far as I am concerned. I'll be sticking to this one for the series...I think.

I is the next thing in being stable and I would say it is faster and a joy to drive:-)

I've found some time to write my opinion on the cars.
Countach: Feels good to drive. Good braking, good turning. Only thing is slightly slower on the straights, but a good exit of a corner counters that. Third gear gives a slight drop in revs as it is slightly too long, but not too bad. GTO: Very nice to drive. Good balance. Like it a lot. It is between this and the lambo for me atm. F40: This is so heavy. It has had a lot of weight added and it really tells in braking. I have to brake much earlier than the other cars. Apart from that, it is really good. Mid-corner performance is very impressive. A track like Barcelona with long corners I'm sure it is the best. As opposed to a track with big braking zones, I think it would struggle. But the weight changes is too much, I will not be choosing this. Ruf: Didn't drive it since last time. It was ok then, but for some reason I disliked it immediately compared to the others.

@sixxx if you do it single player you might not have the right setup. F40 with basic setup i think is quite tricky to drive. Not sure what Sven's setup is, but it's definitely a huge improvement
