Good race yesterday. My pace was not too bad, but a couple mistakes in race one held me back. The 458 requires precise driving and a high level of concentration. Especially when the other drivers are so fast!!
Race 2, started behind Forest Red. First lap I thought I could get the cut back on him going out of turn 3 as his entry was compromised, but there was not enough room and I tapped him. He started to spin and I thought I could prevent the spin by tapping the front of him, and it worked! He stayed on the track and I went on to the grass. I got back on the track while many cars were flying past, but I got hit in the braking zone for turn 4. I think cus I had merged back in to the pack just before the braking zone, the gap that was previously there was filled by me, so the person behind had much less room than they thought they would have. I tried to catch up with the rest and got up to gerald. The lag tho haha I hit him twice from behind cus his car was moving around so much! Appreciate you letting me past. I was trying hard to catch ForestRed but had a couple offs so when I got to the final corner let Gerald back past as I had lost all progress. Nordschleife with sabin, gerald and weasal after was fun, y'all should join next time

I had no idea what was going on behind me but I thought the car was gone, and then it wasn't again. Struggled a lot with oversteer on corner exit, both on this track and when we practised at Barcelona last week. I want to get on the power as early as possible out of the corner, but doing this without driving straight into the nearest barrier is the tricky bit. Practice is the answer I guess.

I read a post from r/simracing yesterday about getting on the power early which was pretty insightful. Check it out! The fallacy of “getting on the gas early” |
