Christmas has come early this year, and Santa brings you the Race Craft Challenge
What is the Race Craft Challenge:
- racing against AI drivers on either new or used-before mod tracks
- highest finishing position is aimed at the pro division here
- mid finishing position aimed at semi-pro
- low finishing position aimed at am division
- the aims are mostly as an indication and thus can be off, but that's not the goal, so read on further..
Goals of Race Craft Challenge:
- to improve race craft, awareness and consistency; racing side by side without contact
- to be able to race more safe and go off track less
- to be able to learn new tracks more quickly by memorizing reference points and gaining natural feel for tracks, or by trailing other cars in front of you and becoming used to trailing without bumping
- to have fun, of course..
Cosyness rules:
- no more than 10 laps of practice previous to challenge if the track is new to you
- post results of your first (three) attempt(s)
- no restarts, back to pits, yada. Deal with it and learn.
- no deadline or whatever, you can do challenges way after they were posted
- although you may post your results, this is more a thread where you can discuss, not really to compare to others but more comparing yourself to your previous self and discussing the places where you held back or went for the overtake, as the goal is to become a safer driver
Installation:
Extract to Steam/steamapps/common/assettocorsa
