Feel free to leave some feedback on the cars, there will be some small changes made
Don't forget tomorrow there's a final test, and next week will see an enduro event that won't actually count for the series yet, so series starts in two weeks!
first impressions: for me the Audi and the Porsche are out, Lambo and GT-R: Lambo is too slow on the straights, but I really like the handling, GT-R is just a big block, ridiculous fast once you passed the apex and straight speed like there is no tomorrow.

Fun evening. A nice selection of cars, should make for a fun series
- Audi R8 seems a bit heavy, but not bad. It's mostly understeering and if you're heavy on the throttle it also oversteers, but there's a pretty good balance there. You don't need much skill to keep it in the sweet area. Not particularly good on braking I noticed, due to weight probably.
- Lambo: it's a bit unstable under braking and tends to oversteer, also tends to understeer on corner entry.. might be a tricky car, I honestly don't see what would be a good balance for it. And what Urlauber said, seems to be lacking a bit of acceleration out of corners.
- GT-R: this is the one i like most, so far, but it's also the one I have most time spent with from the line-up. In my opinion it understeers quite a bit, but it's sort of predictable. It's my type of car: slow in, fast out, so I can say it's already a favorite
- 911 Turbo: didn't get much track time in it. It feels fast, but there's something i don't quite like about it. Suspensions might be a bit too soft, firstly. It's probably faster on corner entries, slower mid-corner, and about the same on the exit as the GT-R. So again, could be an option.
GT-R 40%
R8 - 26%
911 - 24%
Lambo - 10%
Also, seems that at this point the GT-R and the 911 are a bit faster overall than the R8 and Lambo. Could be because the latter 2 are a bit more tricky, especially the Lambo, but idk - just my impression so far. Will get a better feeling tomorrow
For me the Porsche is the most appealing car of the bunch, it seemed the most lively and responsive and it's the one i felt the fastest in. The Lambo was ok, it felt solid but a little unstable under braking. The GT-R was a lot of fun but a lot work, especially on the slower section at Barcelona, I loved the ride height in VR. Haven't tried the Audi yet, never been a fan so not really expecting I will love, i'll give it a go next time.
I took the Audi out first on the recommendation of my son, he said I would have to give it some time to get used to it, but then i'd love it. He was wrong. Waaaay to much understeer.
next I had a go in the Lambo, I didn't have as much trouble with the rear as some did. The fact that it would actually turn in was nice. but after some laps, getting more comfortable, leaving the braking a little later, I found the tail trouble that others were talking about. still much better than the Audi.
the GTR has always been one of my favorite cars, in life and in game. so I did a lot better with it. It's right in between the Audi and the Lambo handling wise. a touch of understeer which is controllable. and the oversteer is basically negligible unless you try pretty hard to instigate it. Won the heat with it at Barcelona, Zombie was chasing pretty much the whole way, right on my bumper. awesome.
had to leave for a dinner date before trying the Porsche, will give it a go tomorrow. i'm expecting to like it more than the Audi or the Lambo, it may be a close second to the GTR. but I might be surprised. Thanks everyone for coming out.
For myself is a choice between the GT-R and the Audi.
The Lamborghini is too tail happy under braking, but sometimes it helps to get the turn in for the corner. From what I could tell at Mugello, the Lamborghini wasn't very quick down the main straight.
Didn't test the Porsche yet, but keen to try it.
The GT-R handles very well and I think is the best all-round car too drive between them.
The Audi is the understeer king so far for me, but very fast in a straight line and has excellent brakes aswell.
First try was the Lambo: I was excepting a wild bull but it's very managebale. Have to brake in strainght line and enough to keep the massive rear on the track (long curves scratch the tyres a lot) but exit is quite fast.
Then the GTR let me a bad feeling. Good accel, good corner exit but that weight . The car hates fast change of direction, brakes... or not. It was on Imola and isn't my favourite track but the car performed well when I took care of the Nissan's weakness.
And the Porsche. Ah! I tought I could have at least some fun in the middle of heavy AWD, playing with the rear and... that was weird.
Sven told me later it was a AWD too, I didn't drive the car the good way but it is pretty efficient. I was very surprised how tight the car turns in entries and how stable are the exits, very fast in straights.
Last the R8 and had a good surprise until the first braking point: it takes so much distance to slow, I missed a lot of apexs. I feel the suspension are a bit too soft to be stable enough in fast turn; in other hand, the car doesn't jump in tight and bumpy corner. Good engine in mid-rev, a bit of understeer if too brutal on gas pedal.
Firstly, might be just me, but it seems like all of the cars feel heavy. Even the 911. Most likely the AWD nature?
Started with the Lambo, decent balance on throttle and off. Not very good in braking, steps the rear out very easily. A lot slower than the rest in the straights. But my goodness it sounds fantastic!
Tried the GTR next, heavier still. Takes a long time to slow down and get the nose towards the apex, but once you do it is full throttle out of there like a maniac. Like Minder said, it really struggles in slow, tight, sections. (Driven one IRL, advantage? )
911 was strange, I dislike them personally and don't like the required driving style. I expected it to be light and nimble, but surprisingly it was rather heavy and only really shined out of corners and on the straights. Not the car for me.
Did not try the R8, but do remember how it behaves from previously hot-lapping it and I disliked it. Hearing the above feedback confirms that it is still behaving as I remember.

All of them are heavy, compared to a Lotus Elise or Alfa 4C.
