Nice racing! First heat was a bit chaotic for me (10th - 6th - 20th (a Supra bumped me off) - 12th). No chance on the straight against all non-Lotuses, was a bit sad.

A good point to look back at the years with lesser packed grids and troublesome driving.. and think:
This right here, is awesome. Thanks again for your cosy attitudes and being here! Although I have no idea what happened behind me, sometimes around me and even right in front of me in this race, I hope all of you enjoyed yourselves
Really really tough competition today.
My pace unfortunately was not living up the 'pro' status which Sven awarded me haha. Nevertheless, I hope I didn't stand too much in other people's way, congrats to my team-mates offcorsa and Jamiri for a better performance than me and nice battle to Ceolmor, I really enjoyed it! Very clean and cosy! Edit: I can add after seeing Sven's post that from what I have seen, everybody around me was driving fast & cosy, so I must say I was expecting more chaos for such a large grid, but I was impressed. Good racing everyone

Nice beginning!
The first heat was mine. good time in Qualifying and good place to finish. The second heat startet well, but in the beginning of round 2 I got in touch with Dima who himself got in contact with Snake. Dima was so cosy to wait for me, to get back on the track. (thanks). The rest of the heat was to get back in best possible place. I got 13th I think. Thats fair enoungh and at least I managed to stay in front of Dima, who had the same way to go. The third heat was just fun. I was in a comfort-zone. I was slightly faster than the cars in front, but could not get them. The fighting was fun. I am fully fine with the first race. I hope all of you too.

Simply amazing racing! There were some knocks and scratches but, overall, the close pack racing made up for that tenfold.

Bit of a nightmare for me tonight. Got a bump in race 1 and then blew gearbox.
Race 2 blew gearbox again. It was at this point I had to try and sort my shifter, as I have been having problems with it for weeks. Race 3 was much better, with some intense battles right the way through, where I went from 20th - 10th - 13th I think! Anyone had any experience of problem gearbox or shifting in AC? It seems to want to grind the gearbox at random times - even just driving on a straight, and more often changing gear, both up and down. I have short calibrated (slightly), the clutch; and put "debouncing" to max in content manager, and it was much better in Race 3, but still did it occasionally

Hell yea if the rest of the season goes like that, this will be the most fun series ever! So many clean fast drivers!
Heat 1: Apologies to Urlauber. I was following a bit too close and hit you from behind in lap 1. Sorry mate. Heat 2: Was going well running in 4th when my gear stick came off the table. Lost 2 positions. Need to get that sim racer seat rig!! Heat 3: Started in 3rd so managed to use the Supra speed to get into 1st by the first corner. Tried to hold MinDer back but a small mistake let him past. Then Sven capitalised on my second small mistake. great clean racing from both of them! After qualifying 11th, really happy to get a podium finish today. Awesome racing from everyone x
Race 3 from my POV :-

I enjoyed this night, great racing from everyone.
The RX7 was sometimes tricky but everybody was on the edge all along and I was lucky enough to get good finish. The pressure was real during the races as cars came close but always respectful. Thanks Sven and all drivers for this happened
After a dodgy start, really enjoyed tonight's racing.
Qualified the little Lotus third, so was well chuffed with that. First heat was a d-i-s-a-s-t-e-r. But then I think it was for a lot of people. Part way through lap 1 found myself in 2nd place, so decided to immediately celebrate by forgetting there in no grip first lap and spinning! Never really recovered from that. But the next two heats were exactly what I was hoping for from this series. Fun, close, clean fights, irrespective of where I am overall in the race. Heat 2 had some great racing mid pack, including with Snake, Barry and my team mate mr_urlauber. Last heat was similar, much of it with Dimavika and S4b1n. Thanks to everyone. Bring on Zandvoort.........

What a great way to start a series! From where i was everyone was very considerate and fair in the pack. A little too fast maybe... i was struggling to keep up.
I wasn't sure how i would feel about 3 sprint races as i'm used to running long races of about an hour, but all in all i thoroughly enjoyed it. The races were very intense and, as i find the Supra to be a challenge to keep in check anyway, I appreciated the short break in between the heats. If i learnt anything its that I really need to work on my race starts, had a Kimi moment in race 3 when again crew chief chirped in that I had made a bad start - "shut up! I know, i'm working on it!" |
