ok you answered it.
One other question why do our front tyres have to be stone cold ?
Warming them up is pretty hard, since there's nearly no weight transfer or friction on the front tires of a Porsche (engine in the back, rear wheel drive). Some tracks it's worse than others. Of course, if you find the holy grail to let front tires warm up better, get me that setup so I can improve it for everyone on future series. I didn't find it myself and fiddled a lot with that car.
Splendid night for me. Qualified on the second row (4th) which is always a good spot to start.
The only guy I *really* had to battle was my own team mate, but had some nice moments finally getting by those pesky Porsches that bothered me the first half of the series. Gears is always another difficult to pass guy, but like Mugello, I managed to get him into rare mistakes.
Good to see S4b1n and Ceol doing very well as well on this race, and of course thanks S4b1n for holding me up giving me the wins.
As expected this was the worst race so far. I hoped a bit for the Mc Larens but it was a Ferrari fest. I dont like the track, and i dont like it to drive it with the Porsche. Too many hairpins, there is no good flow on this track but that is just my own opinion. Im quite happy about the qualifying, improved my pb about 0.4 which is really nice. But in the races and in traffic it is always different.
In heat 1 i actually kicked myself out of the track. Gears was attacking me on one of the hairpins, i braked bad left the track a bit and on return i just crashed into Gears. But, i expecetd him to let a open spot for me. At the end i was a victim of the bad collision physic, i was just pushed away while Gears almost felt nothing. End of it, 6th...
Second heat wasnt really bad, i took Ceol Mor in one of the longer corners. It was very close and we touched each other a bit but it worked. And then my friendly teammate let me trough and almost lost a position but he safed it. I tried to push and close the gap to the next car but it was not possible. I tried too much sometimes and lost here and there almost the car. Some nice drifting but thats not fast... Gears lost his car after the last corner so i ended the race 3rd.
Last heat was dissapointing. Startet 2nd with Ed ahead. But the Ferraris took our lead very fast. Remarkable was when i thought that together with Ed we can probably hold Sven for a while. But he took us both at once on the straight...^^ The following was very intense. I was 3rd, not far away from S4b1n and Gears was chasing me. But he did a bit too much of good which at the end was 3 collisions and a bad finish for both of us. I dont want to blame him too much, he was under pressure with the faster car. And i can be a dickhead defending my position. Once when i he took me because a mistake i just took the position back, that can be annoying. But all 3 attempts to overtake me where too much. There was no room. Sven tried it once too into one of these hairpins but he backed up and did it in other way. That is what i want to remember, the overtaking car is responsible. And as defending dickhead i try my best not to give any room.
But shit happens. Lets try it better next race!

Splendid for me as well, even though I was *robbed* from a win many times : Just kidding, Sven did some awesome races, without putting too much pressure on me while chasing.
Getting pole was nice, I was off to a confident start and managed to pull some distance in the first lap. Managed to run wide in T1 around middle of the race and allowed Sven to pass. Then I had some battles with Gears, I felt our pace was similar, but he was putting a lot of pressure and I was making some small mistakes. I caved to the pressure on the very last lap I think and handed him 2nd place unfortunately.
That put me in a better spot starting Heat 2, and I managed to overtake Ed (I believe) in the first corner. I must admit my intention was not to go that aggressive, but fortunately there was no contact. Again, pulled some distance for a couple laps and then ended with Sven on my tail again. I messed up the last turn and went a bit wide allowing him to pass, and then I just tried to stick with him until the finish.
Third heat saw me starting in 3rd, behind the two yellow Porsches : I managed to sneak past mad-rooky on the first straight, and sneaked up to Ed on the following lap. It was only a matter of time before Sven would catch up to me again so I tried my best to gain more lead, but he was on my tail before mid-race. My tyres felt like doing a burnout on the exit of T2, which allowed him to pass, and then again it was a matter of trying to keep up.
I would say splendid evening for the team, congrats to Ceol Mor and Sven for some amazing racing today. It was nice to score a 1-2-3 finish in the last heat
BONUS: proof
Great results for Team Dark Wolf tonight. Well done to Sven on his hat-trick of wins. S4b1n was awesome also. I didn't mind not scoring points for the team (again!) as I was taking points from Bolt Racing. All to play for now in the last two races in both the individual standings and Team event.
Qualifying went about as well as I thought it would. I made up two positions in heat 1. 5th was gained when my team-mate rooky spun out after t1. Ahead of me was Ceolmor. I felt I was just staying in touch with him, but good for me he made a few mistakes which allowed me to close the gap. I managed to get a good overtake. Finished 4th. Great position to finish as I get to start on pole.
Heat 2. The ferrari is too strong on the straights! I tried to hold them off, but it was in vain in the end. Let rooky through as I thought he would have a much better chance of catching up and making something happen, but nothing going. This almost let Ceolmor through as well but I defended the position well, then managed to pull a small gap. With one lap to go, Gears made a mistake and spun out on the final corner! Rooky and I got past and I put in my fastest lap of the heat to maintain 4th with Gears on my tail.
Heat 3. I love finishing 4th ^_^ Sabin and Sven got good overtakes. Was such good racing! I was being swamped by cars on all sides. I missed a couple braking points as it felt like there was so much happening, but luckily the attacker on the outside of the corner left some good room both times and I didn't take anyone out (Sven and Sabin I believe...) One particular moment, I got a bad run out t2 and rooky was going past. With so much happening, I took my eyes off helicorsa and didn't see Gears was right behind him, I went in to take rooky's slipstream and almost wiped Gears off the track. Sorry dude! Good for both of us that you kept it going. In pushing hard to keep up, I lost it on the small straight after t6, spinning. I was travelling backwards at a high speed and made a sick J turn maneuver, not losing too much time. I was 3 seconds behind Chip and after a few laps, managed to catch up. He went a bit wide at t5 and I got through. Up ahead, Dima made a mistake and I made another position. The final two gains, right in front of me Gears tried a bit too hard to pass rooky at t4, and I capitilised. Another 4th place!
I'll add another post later tonight with a few screenshots or maybe I try make a highlights video. This was one of the most fun races I've had with Cosy, so there are some great moments to see! Wow a 1-2-3 finish from Dark Wolf! 3 wins from Sven!!! Ferrari OP haha!
For real tho, great driving from Sven and Dark Wolf. I didn't see the team championship coming back this close so quickly. Barcelona and Imola to go. Can't wait
Rather an un-eventful but very satisfying night for me.
Managed a PB to qualify 7th. Race 1 I managed to have a slight battle with ed for about 1/2 lap and then thought I should just him go and preserve my position - (read he was/is quicker than me and I just couldn't keep up :-)) Had a bit of a running battle with DeLof to the end of race which was quite enjoyable. Finished 8th.
Races 2&3 were fairly similar, managed a fairly decent start and just kept fairly steady throughout, hanging on to the back of leading pack, I was very happy with how my consistency has at last started to come back to me, after a poor Northern Europe showing........
For anyone who is interested (actually see a little of the quick guys for a bit!) all 3 races here :-

Looking back at The Reb Bull Ring gives me a smile on my face. Not because I was that quick. Not because Team Jake did very well in the Porsche on the RBR. Why I got that smile?
After some issues with my steering wheel, no more shifting, I started to drive with a seperate shifter instead of the pedals behind the wheel. I didn't got any problems, so I think I found the place where the error is.
Practise, It wasn't bad, i did a new PR but it wasn't good enough 15 th place. just before teammate OldEarl. So I didn't expected much from the race-results.
Race 1, a solid race. No error's but still to slow. 14th place, and just passed before the start-finishline by DIMAVIKA. I think the line was 10 meters to far away.
Race 2. A bad one. In lap one turn 2 I bumped DAMIVIKA. Soft, but I spun, luckely DAMIVIKA didn't had any negotive influences by the bump. Starting again from behind it was a race lonely and forfilling 9 laps. Time to try a few differint shifting point with a spin as result. I saw OffCorsa passing me, he also hat some problems I think. So as the last man over the finish line 15th, cause offcorsa was already gone.
Race 3. Again a nice race without making problems. AI also made a new PR in this race 1.43.255. I also know for sure if I make all the turns and brakepoints right, I will drive a 1.42.xxx. So there is still progression. Finish 13th.
Why the smile. My biggest problem beside not being fast enough is drive constant laps without errors. And that is going better every week. Also the level of difficulty is getting higher and higher. I don't use the suggested race-line anymore. I believe the gap between the fast guys and the slowest one's, like me is smaller then when I started a year ago. Now I need more time to practise, to gain more speed. If that will be possible, I don't know during the week their isn't much time left after work.
So new changes next week in Catalunya. See you there.

A bit late for my race summary, but it was a fun weekend regardless. In the first heat, I drove my usual race, overly cautious. This led me to finishing second.
Once I decided to drive with a bit more aggression in the other two heats, that's when things went downhill, constantly colliding with Mad-Rooky (Sorry once again).
Overall, it was a fun race weekend and now we're in the final stages of the championship. Things are looking up!
