First time racing with us?
Every week you plan on racing, sign up in the weekly race thread, and you'll get a message through Steam chat when the passworded server is up and the server password (30-20 minutes before qualifying start).
For the second and third heat the server will be restarted. When it's live you'll again get a Steam chat message. For heat 2 and 3, you have three minutes to connect.
Don't forget to post your car choice in its thread and <a href="http://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-14.html">request a driver number</a> if you haven't!
Also please make sure you add your name to the Crew Chief (Assetto app) name list http://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-304.html
Get Discord if you like to get on voice chat and text chat during and outside of CosyRacingCommunity events: http://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-362-lastpost.html
Porsche Pack III (911 R) required
Cars all feature a custom setup, which is locked by default on the server. Practice only on the server to avoid not being used to the setup and/or track conditions.
Ballast is determined based on the overall balance between cars over the entire calendar; some cars outperform others on certain tracks, again to be slower on others; provide very contradicting findings preferably through private message to me.
Ballast may be subject of change when car(s) prove to be dominant. Setups might be adjusted for further balance. When a car is not included in the above list, it is because it's way too fast, too slow or because of other criteria (weight, powertrain, etc). To avoid not being able to select your car during practice a series won't feature more than six different cars.
If you've raced a car in qualifying or a heat, you have to use it for the remainder of the series.
15 minutes qualifying
1 lap warm-up "race" (does not affect grid order, does not score points)
Heat 1: approx 15 minutes, in laps, announced in weekly race thread
Heat 2: approx 15 minutes, in laps, announced in weekly race thread
Heat 3: approx 15 minutes, in laps, announced in weekly race thread
Grid orders:
Heat 1: qualifying result
Heat 2: heat 1 result + top four reverse*
Heat 3: heat 2 result + top four reverse*
*reverse grid (based on previous heat result) for heat 2 and heat 3 always for top four from previous heat.
Before every racing heat the server will be restarted, this takes a few minutes due to manually assigning the entry list a.k.a. starting order. It's recommended to wait for my Steam chat message to rejoin without issues.
Conditions on race day might differ to those on the practice server, weather conditions will be (during winter: somewhat, during summer: almost completely) based on real conditions. Temperatures on both the public and race server will have the same variations in randomness in terms of both ambient and track temperature.

How to install mod tracks: http://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-250.html
Tire wear: 100%
Fuel: 100%
Damage: 50%
ABS: Factory (CTRL+A to disable)
Traction control and Stability Management: Forced off
Free choice: virtual mirror, auto/manual clutch, view/camera
Off track penalty: only on during qualifying (general guidelines is to keep two wheels within white lines unless forced otherwise during the races)
Track temperatures vary during practice and races. This variation is random with minimum and maximum amounts set. The minimum and maximum amounts are not changed, but the track surface temperature during qualifying and races are higher (more realistic). The weather type is set to closely reflect the weather of that day at that track. Temperatures (and their variables) are the same throughout the series.
50 for 1st place
48 for second place
46 for third
44 for fourth
43 for fifth
42 for sixth
etc.
DNF (did not finish) equals last place in order of dropping out.
DNS (did not start) equals zero points.
Week result is sum of all racing heats.
Best five week results count to overall standings.
Northern Europe champion: best three Northern Europe results count towards Northern Europe championship.
Southern Europe champion: best three Southern Europe results count towards Southern Europe championship.
All team members have to drive the same car, which has to be recognisable as being a team car. Cars of team members are allowed to differ slightly in either secondary color, wing or mirror details. Skins may not feature alcohol or tobacco related sponsors, competing race leagues or groups nor other sponsors that can be seen as offensive and/or can cause problems in promotion of this community.
For this series the Pro rated drivers are:
mad-rooky
Sven
BarryTrotter8
Angeln1ck
OffCorsa
MinDer K.

Teams can be formed by;
1 pro + 1 am
1 pro + 2 am's (In case of 2 am's only the best am counts towards week total)
2 pro's
2 pro's + 1 am
3 am's (best two am's score points towards weekly total)
In case of 2 pro's only the best pro counts towards week total; you need an am driver if you want to be competitive with teams that have good pro and am drivers.
3 dropped scores for all teams, meaning the three worst total week results will be dropped.
Maximum of 3 drivers per team. You can make one driver replacement during the series, but have to announce it before the race where you're going to use the new driver (scores of the replaced driver will still count up until that point).
Drivers who haven't yet ran in series here will go through a performance screening. In unsure cases that driver might not be assigned to either Pro or Am and will therefore not be eligible for a team in the ongoing series.
Although clean, respectful and fair racing is our ethos, accidents can happen, especially in close racing. Whenever you're involved in an accident and feel aggrieved, don't make any claims, assumptions or accusations on the forum.
Before reporting it to the staff, first watch the replay yourself (request to have it available for download by PM to the series' staff). If you still think you were the victim of actions that do not comply with our guidelines, send a PM to the series staff detailing your case.
If you do not report it, it will likely go unnoticed as I do not check replays for incidents unless I have any indication of uncosy behaviour.
