Based on the ADAC GT Masters, we bring you COSY GT Masters, a mid week GT series around four GT cars. Across eight race days you'll be visiting many of the circuits raced by the ADAC GT Masters over the years. In red are specific rules that differ from our normal rule set.
(Dream Pack 3, Porsche Pack 3 and Ready to Race DLC required to race)
Skins/liveries
Every car is required to have a racing themed skin/livery. Skins may not feature:
- alcohol or tobacco related sponsors
- names, url's or logo's from competing race leagues or groups
- other sponsors that can be seen as offensive and/or can cause problems in promotion of this community
Driver (door) number plates, crew boards and license plates on the car are provided by Cosy Staff. The driver numbers have to be placed on the (front) doors below the mirrors. Please place them in the size provided (100% scale). You can request them by sending a PM.

Success ballast based on drivers standings
1st place: 20kg
2nd place: 10kg
3rd place: 5kg
Success ballast is only for race heats, based on the results up to previous week's race
Success ballast is added on top of division based handicap weight (see division list below)
Success ballast will be based on average scores of the drivers participating in that weeks race, only for both racing heats. The highest average score of the attendees gets 20 kg, runner-up 10 kg and third place 5 kg. So if the driver with the highest average points in the series is not racing, the 20 kg success ballast goes to the runner-up, and so on (and also if the second highest average driver is missing, etc).
Drivers who do not sign up for the series cannot join any parts of a race; as the server will have practice, qualifying and both race heats in one setup you cannot join later on, but all entries will be on the entry list in all races assuming it does not exceed 18 cars.
Calendar
The race thread includes a list of the two tracks that are up for a draw that week. The track will be drawn from these two at race time. The track that isn't drawn continues to next week's selection. Tracks will only feature once in a series, with the possible exception of the first track that is raced; this track will feature again on the final track draw.
There will not be a practice server.

How to install mod tracks: http://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-250.html
Server Settings
Tire wear: 100%
Fuel: 100%
Damage: 100%
ABS: Factory (not recommended to disable, as brake bias cannot be altered)
Traction control and Stability Management: Forced off
Tyre blankets: off during practice, qualifying and races, it takes about a lap on most track to get tires up to ideal pressures
View/camera and FOV: hood or cockpit view with (near) correct FOV mandatory; https://dinex86.github.io/FOV-Calculator/ for single screen setups it's advised to add about 5 degrees (for example if 27 is correct, then you could try up to 32)
Free choice: virtual mirror, auto/manual clutch
Off track penalty: "two tyres out" during practice, qualifying and racing heats. See our rule regarding track limits and a visual guide below under "Incidents-short overview of our guidelines" further down this page. Repeated unnecessary cutting while clearly gaining an advantage will result in disqualification for that race.
Points
There will only be an individual championship. Best five week results count to individual standings. Titles will be awarded to the best driver in each division.
For every race heat (based on the ADAC GT Masters)
25 for first place
20 for second place
16 for third place
13 for fourth
11 for fifth
10 for sixth
9 for seventh
...down with increments of 1 point
Bonus points for qualifying
3 for first place
2 for second place
1 for third place
DNF (did not finish) equals last place in order of dropping out; a driver has to finish at least 70% of the race distance in laps (rounded upwards) compared to the race winner in order to score points
DNS (did not start) equals zero points
Week result is sum of all racing heats

Handicap weight is, contrary to success ballast mentioned earlier, also active during practice and qualifying.
The list above, although subjective, is non-debatable. It is based on recent performances, results in the last three series, and/or in comparable cars. Only drivers recently active have been ranked above.
If you're not on the list but have raced before in our series, please PM me. Even if you're not on the list and/or haven't done any racing with us before, you're of course allowed to participate in this series and a division will be assigned soon.
Incidents
Although clean and fair racing is our ethos, accidents can happen, especially in close racing. Whenever you're involved in an accident and feel aggrieved, please do not make any public claims, assumptions or accusations on the server, forum or on Discord.
Contact the driver(s) involved first to see what they think of a situation before reporting it to staff. If you can work it out yourselves that's preferred. Language like "I think", "I feel" and "I find" to make your problem clear.
In case of reporting it to the staff, first watch the replay yourself from all drivers' involved views (request for download by PM to me if you don't have it). If you still think you were the victim of actions that do not comply with our guidelines, send a PM to the series staff detailing your case.
If you do not report it, it will likely go unnoticed as I do not check replays for incidents unless I have any indication of uncosy behaviour. Thus, it's your responsibility to report uncosy track behaviour.
Short overview of our guidelines:
- return position to victim when your (reasonably avoidable) fault causes someone to leave the track, spin or lose a position
- return position, return to track and carry out slow down penalties only when safe; stay off the racing line if possible and do not cross the track unnecessary or dangerously
- safety is the most important part of the first corners; keep battles and overtakes to a minimum
- respect the blue flag: allow lapping traffic an effortless pass that doesn't slow them down
- respect during qualifying; when on your first lap, give lapping cars an effortless pass that doesn't slow them down
- no blatant swerving or blocking; when defending, only switch lines once and allow space for others who are aside you before braking
- no dive bombing; do not dive on the inside of cars braking earlier than you, while you are not already aside
- whenever reasonably possible keep half of the car, along the longitudinal axis, completely within white lines, also if there are no kerbs. When there are kerbs, the wheels on one side may be on primary kerbs, but not beyond them on the grass or run-off area and still with half of the car within white lines. Primary kerbs in this case means that if there are two types of kerbs and/or run off areas, the ones closest to the track count as primary kerbs.
The following are all allowed situations regarding track limits:
As there's an informal incident count table at the end of the series, please do not intentionally hit cars after crossing the finish line.
First Time?
First time racing with us in a series?
1) make sure you've posted your car choice in the thread "Post Car Choice & Form Teams" in this board
2) sign up every week in the weekly race thread with an In, Maybe or Out. You can join a series any time and don't have to make all the races.
3) Discord is mandatory to participate in our events, joining our voice channel is recommended (a mic is not mandatory). More on Discord and download: http://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-362.html (if the program gives you problems, you can of course use the web version of Discord)
4) about 15 minutes before qualifying, I will post a message on Discord saying the server is live. It's then in practice mode until qualifying starts. Search "cosy" in the server list, no password required since it's a locked entry list based on your Steam ID. This server includes both race heats as well, so no need to disconnect (contrary to our Sunday series)
5) Make sure to read the rules and race thread fully before asking questions
