Nice racing!
First and second heat were very enjoyable, got some great passes in and hardly any issues.. Third race had an awesome battle with MinDer, but also bumped into him twice, losing us positions to Milvus, then S4b1n and Fragmonkey.. Both my fault, maybe was a bit too happy with my (too) clean first heats..?
Was fun starting the season tonight! Heat 1 was ok, didn't really make any mistakes. In H2 I made a mistake in lap2 and tapped Soul (sorry, again) while braking into T4. Should have kept a slightly bigger braking margin, I didn't see the car in front of him braking mid corner. Then I lost it again myself in H2, ended up last. Did some catching up, but was tapped only to lose it again. Then some more catching up, but there was a pretty big gap, maybe 17s to the mid-pack. Started H3 around 16th and tried to navigate the pack without risks. Saw some people having contacts and that definitely helped with gaining some positions, think I recovered until 4th so that was quite a great climb.
Hope next time we'll have some racing with fewer incidents.

A very rough start of the season for me. Got hit in every race. The Porsche feels great (good job Sven!). So happy to see the grid so populated again; the track doesn't become lonely after a few laps ) I'm hoping the future races will be cleaner though.
First race in the new series. First circuit Silverstone.
It looked like the series before. Street Touring Trophy. Also first circuit Silverstone. And my results are almost exactly the same. Disappointing. So I think this result is also my first score to drop. Made a few mistake by myself. Heat 1 to wide in the last chicane, try to compensate with to much throthle with a spin on the grass as result. Starting again at the back of the pack. Also some contact in heat 2 and 3. Watching the replay I think I fell in the old mistake, overdriving the car wich result in less quicker lap times. Next week new chances. Everything negative??..... No, still love to drive the Alfa, and I love the full startinggrid. See you all next time.

Well that sure was interesting. I didn't expect to be fighting at the front after so long away. But I can't lie, it would have been nice to be a little more competitive.
There was one incident in race 3 that sent me into last place but other than that I think it was a clean run and I had some great battles along the way, so thanks to those guys. One thing I feel was holding me back was the T300 i picked up just before my simracing break. I find it very sluggish and mushy compared to the G27. The break pedal in particular i can't use effectively at all. I have the T3PA pedals with the conical break mod. I will adjust/ remove the mod and search for some settings to try, but i can see myself going back to the G27.
First of all, glad to be back at it with this new season
Secondly, sorry for my mic constantly popping on/off during quali, there was a conflict in my button mapping (for some reason discord doesn't map your PTT button to a device, but instead a Button no., in my case it was button 8 which I have in both my steering wheel and my separate H-Shifter), so whenever I down shifted at a corner it would activate my mic, again sorry about that, took a bit of troubleshooting to find that problem. As for the race, all in all it was good fun however chaotic it might have been. Was taken out both in H2 and H3 but tried not to let that phase me and just carried on with the race. Maybe moving forward we can have cleaner races as we start adjusting to the new cars and size of field (which is awesome btw, hope it remains like that). Thanks to everyone participating and a shout out to my team mates Sven and SiXxX |
