Ballast, Restrictors & Balance
Ballast and restrictors are determined based on the overall balance between cars over the entire calendar; some cars outperform on certain tracks to be slower on others. Ballast and restrictors are designed to stay the same throughout a series, but may be subject of change when car(s) prove to be dominant. Setups might be slightly adjusted for further balance.
When a car is not included in the above list, it is because it's way too fast, too slow or because of other criteria (weight, powertrain, etc). To avoid not being able to select your car during practice a series won't feature more than five cars.
Skin/liveries
Every car is required to have a racing themed skin/livery. Skins may not feature:
- alcohol or tobacco related sponsors
- names, url's or logo's from competing race leagues or groups
- other sponsors that can be seen as offensive and/or can cause problems in promotion of this community
Driver number plates, crew boards and license plates on the car are provided by the series host. The driver numbers have to be placed on the (front) doors below the mirrors. Please place them in the size provided (100% scale). You can request them by sending a PM to me.
Race Format
15 minutes qualifying
Heat 1: 15 minutes timed
Heat 2: 15 minutes timed
Heat 3: 15 minutes timed
Grid orders
Heat 1: qualifying result
Heat 2: heat 1 result + top eight reverse*
Heat 3: heat 2 result + top eight reverse*
*reverse grid (based on previous heat result) for heat 2 and heat 3 always for top eight from previous heat
Before every racing heat the server will be restarted, this takes a few minutes due to assigning the entry list (starting order). It's recommended to wait for my Discord text and/or voice message to rejoin without issues.
If more than 24 drivers sign up, some drivers will not be able to race that week, but are assured a starting position in the remainder of the series until everyone has sat out one race that series. The driver(s) who cannot race that week will be determined in the following order:
- drivers that have not made a race yet (if multiple, those who became a member earlier are picked last)
- drivers that have made the least rounds in the last series (if multiple, those who became a member earlier are picked last)
Calendar
The race thread includes a list of the three tracks that are up for a draw that week. The track will be drawn from a list of three at race time. The two tracks that aren't drawn will continue to next week's selection. Tracks will not feature more than once in a series.
The practice server will have one of the tracks from the upcoming week's draw, announced in its weekly race thread.

Server Settings
Tire wear: 100%
Fuel: 100%
Damage: 100%
ABS: Factory (CTRL+A to disable)
Traction control and Stability Management: Forced off
Free choice: virtual mirror, auto/manual clutch, view/camera
Off track penalty qualifying: "zero tyres out" during practice and qualifying; going outside the primary kerb results in invalidating your lap.
Off track penalty races: "two tyres out" during racing heats. Remember our rule is:
Keep half of the car, along the longitudinal axis, completely within white lines if there are no kerbs. If there are kerbs, the wheels on one side may be on primary kerbs, but not beyond them on the grass or run-off area. Primary kerbs in this case means that if there are two types of kerbs and/or run off areas, the ones closest to the track count as primary kerbs.
Points
There will be an individual and team championship. Best five week results count to individual and team standings. Titles will be awarded to the best driver in each division, and for overall team champions.
For every race heat
50 for first place
48 for second place
46 for third place
44 for fourth
42 for fifth
40 for sixth
39 for seventh
...down with increments of 1 point
A driver has to finish at least 70% of the race distance (rounded upwards) in laps compared to the race winner in order to score points
DNF (did not finish) equals last place in order of dropping out
DNS (did not start) equals zero points
Week result is sum of all racing heats
Teams
Minimum of three drivers per team, one from each division. Up to two drivers can use one driver slot. Only the best driver from a shared slot scores points for a team for that race. All team members have to drive the same car, which has to be instantly recognisable as being a team car; team cars may differ in secondary or third color.
You can replace one driver during the series once, but have to announce it before the race where you're going to use the new driver (scores of the replaced driver will still count up until that point).
Teams can only have two drivers marked with a star, but not from both Pro and Pro-am; for example Dimavika and DeLof cannot team up using the list below. Dimavika and NRTH and any Am driver is allowed.
Teams are allowed to use drivers for a higher division slot than they are ranked, regardless of their star status; for example you could use an Am driver in a Pro-am slot, or a Pro-am driver in a Pro slot. A driver may not change slots during the series; for example you may not compete in the pro-am slot in on race and in the pro slot the next race.

The list above, although subjective, is non-debatable. It is based on recent performances, results in the last three series, and/or in comparable cars. Only drivers participating in the past three Sunday Series, or known to be at least interested in participating this series, have been ranked above.
If you're not on the list but have raced before in our series, please PM me. Even if you're not on the list and/or haven't done any racing with us before, you're of course allowed to participate in this series and a division will be assigned soon.
Incidents
Although clean and fair racing is our ethos, accidents can happen, especially in close racing. Whenever you're involved in an accident and feel aggrieved, please do not make any public claims, assumptions or accusations on the server, forum or on Discord.
Try to contact the driver(s) involved first to see what they think of a situation before reporting it to staff. If you can work it out yourselves that's preferred.
In case of reporting it to the staff, first watch the replay yourself from all drivers' involved views (request for download by PM to me if you don't have it). If you still think you were the victim of actions that do not comply with our guidelines, send a PM to the series staff detailing your case.
If you do not report it, it will likely go unnoticed as I do not check replays for incidents unless I have any indication of uncosy behaviour. Thus, it's your responsibility to report uncosy track behaviour.
Short overview of our guidelines:
- return position to victim when your (reasonably avoidable) fault causes someone to leave the track, spin or lose a position
- return position, return to track and carry out slow down penalties only when safe; stay off the racing line if possible and do not cross the track unnecessary or dangerously
- safety is the most important part of the first corners; keep battles and overtakes to a minimum
- respect the blue flag: allow lapping traffic an effortless pass that doesn't slow them down
- respect during qualifying; when on your first lap, give lapping cars an effortless pass that doesn't slow them down
- whenever reasonably possible keep half of the car, along the longitudinal axis, completely within white lines (also if there are no kerbs). If there are kerbs, the wheels on one side may be on primary kerbs, but not beyond them on the grass or run-off area. Primary kerbs in this case means that if there are two types of kerbs and/or run off areas, the ones closest to the track count as primary kerbs.
- no blatant swerving or blocking; only switch lines once and allow space for others who are aside you before braking
- no dive bombing; do not dive on the inside of cars braking earlier than you, while you are not already aside
First Time?
First time racing with us in a series?
1) make sure you've posted your car choice in http://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-1006.html
2) sign up every week in the weekly race thread with an In, Maybe or Out. You can join a series any time and don't have to make all the races. Only those who posted "IN" on time in the race thread are added to the entry list.
3) Discord is mandatory to participate in our events, joining our voice channel is recommended (a mic is not mandatory). More on Discord and download: http://cosyracingcommunity.com/thread-362.html
4) about 15 minutes before qualifying, I will post a message on Discord saying the server is live. It's then in practice mode until qualifying starts. Search "cosy" in the server list, no password required since it's a locked entry list based on your Steam ID. Between heats the server will be restarted, I'll again post on Discord when the server is live; from there you have two minutes to connect
5) Make sure to read the rules and race thread fully before asking questions
